There are quite a few things I wanted to say about the JTV fansubs, but I'll spare the rant because I'm already going off topic.

Anyhow, the raws should sync up with Siantut's subs as those are the ones I'm using (though I haven't gone through all the spelling checks). As for their quality, I will say better than JTV's, but in their defense (I guess), their source was the DVD. The raws I have were encoded using the HD broadcast as the source I'd assume, so the raws are closer to the source more so than JTV's. I will say though, it'd be sweet to get the raws before they were encoded to Divx, though it'd take much longer than the three weeks it took me to get the raws from d-addicts.

The two .png images are a better reference than the .jpg's are, but regardless they should give you something to compare with against JTV's. If you want some more 'caps, let me know.

Alrighty, what would be the best way for me to get these raws to you racer, or to phlargo, or anyone else who is interested? Is there a site I could upload the episodes to, or should I go for the torrent route?

Hmm, why would JTV take a DVD source and upconvert it to 720p?

I would've guessed they'd use the HD source so that they wouldn't alter the number of lines (480p to 720p)... Maybe that's why phlargo is seeing interlacing effects on his JTV video playback because it is an upconversion.... :sweat:

Actually, that's exactly what I thought I saw with the artifacts and aliasing - it looks like an upconvert.

I have to work until late tonight (around 11pm Pacific time), but I'm going to put up a torrent for the first episode when I get back. For the time being if anyone has any tips about seeding a file via bittorrent, please let me know as this will be the first time I'll be doing it. I mean I seed files, but that's only because I was done downloading 'em. I never had to deal with trackers, hosting, etc. so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

First off, thanks for all the suggestions about creating a torrent, but I'm trying a slightly different route. While at work I figured I could just download the original torrent from d-addicts, rename my file accordingly and it would simply acting as a seed or peer. That would spare me the trouble of having to create a torrent and find a tracker to host. Might as well use what's already there right? Don't know why I didn't figure that out before. :doh:

Alrighty, I'm a seeder now, doubling the seeder count to a mind-blowing two. I'm only uploading at 20 kb/s max, as I'm sharing this DSL connection with my apartment-mates and don't want to completely slow everyone down here.

One last thing. I'll be posting any other updates over at the Nodame thread. I've been going off-topic pretty much since it's more about Nodame Cantabile than Juri-chan herself. Thanks mods for putting up with it and not giving me grief over it.
