And he takes a stand! It's on.. actually, though, this is the center of our j-drama universe, so what happens elsewhere is only useful for linking to :)

Speaking from personal experience.. it certainly can be. I mean, I was a fan before.. but sticking around here and being involved in this community has, on its own, at least octupled my fanboyishness. Be warned..
Warning duly ignored. I think I fell too far into the rabbit hole already.
I think this picture is neat... it's a little different - so many of her Ruka pictures make her look very passive - this one has a little more spice to it
Like in Swing Girls, I think Juri is really cute when she's being assertive. The whole submissive thing gets old pretty quick in my view. Pull those shoulders back, pretty lady!

Agreed with the Swing Girls observations, as the the shoulders, I kinda think that she has a bit of a hunch back, at least it seems she kinda do this unconciously. Seen it in Nodame (can someone tell me if the Anime Nodame has the hunch?) and much more noticable in Last Friends. Not sure if she is 'in character'. Some lesbian friends told me that a lot of girls like Ruka do have this tendency, not standing straight.... If Juri Chan is that much into this role, kudos to her.

Hmm, I'd have to think it has to do with the role and not her: She doesn't appear to be hunched over in any of the talks shows/game shows that she's been on...
Or am I wearing my rose-colored glasses again?

That could be it, small dose of biased view
In which case we just have to say she is a great actress :applaud:
