It was an actual question asked of Juri-chan.
I admit I'm not a fan of Last Friends, it was seriously flawed. But I've seen worse j-dramas. Plus Juri was good in the show, even though none of the characters seemed complex or difficult to portray. At least that's the way the script came across for me.

Oh, I agree completely, that's why I've been perpetually railing against the seemingly endless accolades the drama has been receiving... :grumble:
I thought Juri-chan's performance was exceptionally good and probably the most complex of all the characters, but her role got hosed in favor of a cheap ratings grab by the production staff... How that turned into an award-winning drama is beyond me. :shakehead:
Had they stayed with her character as the central figure and did away with the underdeveloped fluff characters, it could've/would've been a kick-ass drama.

Swing Girls put her on the map in Korea, I believe. :victory:
Goro Kishitani directs a movie
Wed, October 15, 2008 (3:00am EDT)
Actor Goro Kishitani is making his directorial debut with a movie under the working title "Dead Heat Virgin Road." The slapstick comedy co-stars Juri Ueno and Yoshino Kimura and is scheduled for a fall 2009 release.
Based on an original script, the film focuses on two strangers - Ueno plays a woman scheduled to have her wedding ceremony the next day, while Kimura plays a woman who wants to die but can't do it. Their paths cross and through a series of incidents, they find themselves at one point packing a corpse into a suitcase and running away. Filming started earlier this month.
sugoi! looking forward to this one. :dancing:

Yeah, she still got her chubby cheeks in there.^^ I think she lost some of it with age. :hehe:
But I'm sure she will do another series soon, cuz any director will be clever enough to ask her to star in their series, since she's so popular all over Asia now. ^^ It will give them high ratings. They're probably waiting for her to grow her hair back. xD just kidding. :victory:

I believe she was around 17 or 18 when she did that film... :)

Ehh? Chubby cheeks??
I don't think so.

Is it just my imagination or is it because of her braided hair? Cuz I I think her cheeks are kinda chubby in Swing Girls and in "Turtles Swim faster than expected". ^^
PS: funny shot..she got a rice grain near her beauty spot xD
