I finally watched Guu Guu Datte Neko de Aru, and it's such a great movie to watch in a particular mood.. can't really describe it at the moment. As a cat owner, I was really touched by it, though.

Juri always gets me when she has a crying scene, too :puppydog:

I enjoyed the movie, but I couldn't really figure out the story or it's point. :sweat:

I think the general message came a bit early on in the movie, being the whole "do what you can at the moment" thing. That being said, the cat angle of it was conveyed sort of poorly, to the point where you can probably cut it out and have the movie make more sense.

I agree, though, it was sort of a mess storyline-wise.

Spoiler — click to revealI guess it all boils down to Kojima-sensei being in a huge guilt-ridden slump because of &#199;a Va in the beginning, then only barely opening up throughout the rest of the movie (only to revert back to her usual self), and then finally getting closure with &#199;a Va enough to continue living her life and doing her best, knowing that she passed after having lived a happy life.

Also, just like she said early on in the film, she'll know how to treasure GuuGuu after what she thought were her mistakes with &#199;a Va.


Paul Weinberg's parts were REALLY odd, though.
