I just saw this movie and it left a bad taste for me. I LOVE Juri-chan, like in ALL her roles I've seen so far, I think she's very charming as Aoi...but that guy in Rainbow Song can't act. Besides, wtf was with some of the story parts, what was wrong with her parents at the beginning??? I mean, their daughter freakin DIED in a plane crash, and I didn't see sadness? They acted as if their pet dog just died and not the daughter :nut: Everyone was just too happy, they even had the nerves to joke around in her room?! That's so disrespectful! Overall, I don't really like the movie, I don't know what the hell the director was thinking, and I especially don't like how Juri was so serious and believable in her acting, yet everybody around her were so comical :shakehead:

The case with the parents was likely different people coping with loss differently. I've buried A LOT of people I've known and cared about, but never shed a tear and even cracked jokes, some that seemed inappropriate. It's likely how they were trying to get through the loss. There isn't really a "right" way to act. The biggest problem with the movie was that it was suppose to be a showcase for the male lead and he he failed to live up to that. Juri-chan's role was there as a vehicle for his character's development, but ended up stealing the movie instead.

Exactly.
Everyone deals with loss in their own way and people need to understand that... It's not a sign of disrespect (hopefully), just a characteristic of each individual.
