yeah i read Kimi ni todoke and for me, gakki wud not suit the character in the manga at all :shakehead: the main girl in the dorama wud be have to be darker, smaller actress. More along the lines of what u saw in Nobuta Wo Produce with Horikita Maki.
and if they are to produce it with a guy from Johnnys like Jun......and gakki, pure aim of it wud be ratings and not the quality. i hope they dont screw with the manga cus the manga is decent :fingerscrossed:

i kind of agree. the movie was pretty touching although i'm exactly a fan of love stories.

look my bottom line opinion is that they shudnt make the movie for it cus they will just go for the ratingsand not the quality, thus making the movie look stupid compared to the manga. :shamefulcry:
but yeah if i ws to choose, i wud give maki the nod before gakki :sweat:

she is good in areas of characters where they have a gentle, soft ambiance. so Koizora and My Boss My Hero like u said were well suited to her :applaud: :victory: Having said that, if she plays the main role of the girl in Skip Beat, well i will probably :bleh: cus she will in no way be able to fill the complexity of the character :sweat:

and in answer to ur last question which i forgot to answer :bonk: Kimi Ni Todoke is still going in manga over here and is so popular. The anime for it is so-so :sweat:
