I'm beginning to think a lot of people become interested in T&T first because of Takki, and then start liking Tsubasa more, as many people have said before. Well, I'm not totally at that stage yet (still madly in love with Takki), but the more clips I see (especially when they're just like talking to each other, like in the Making of Kamen video) Tsubasa becomes cuter and cuter. He's so hilarious, he becomes really endearing to me. And now with those pictures, his hotness factor is definitely rising.

I'm a little bit stranger than most - I stumbled upon T&T because I kept seeing their group name everywhere and was curious so I downloaded Kamen. Prior to Kamen - I thought they are either techno or rock or maybe R&B ala CHEMISTRY, I didn't expect them to be pop-ish with a little edge, so I was pleasantly surprised. I was listening to their songs for about two months before I *finally* watched Kamen and found out how they looked like.
...and I was shocked - cos I thought they were older people as well *lol* (I don't know why I think that they would be old and not that great looking) - and man, Takki induced a sort of omg!squee!OMG! reaction in me and that was when I became *really* obsessed. And then I found out Takki actually acts and he is THE 泷泽G–¾ guy that half of my school were obsessing over when I was in high school (I wasn't interested cos I wasn't into doramas at all). Whew.
But I seriously think Takki and Tsubasa sort of co-exists with each other. Based on all the interviews I've read of them and the clips I've watched, they really share a very special relationship/friendship with each other which makes the unit really strong - even with the solo projects going on. Therefore it would always be T&T ne ~ ^___^ I have a softer spot for Takki, admittedly, but I love Tsubasa as well - he's really really adorable. :mrgreen:
Also, Jadrien24, I peeked at your photos, and I must say you look really gorgeous in the kimono. The colour is really pretty on you! =)

Ha ha! Now, I'll have to try and listen to their songs from an old man perspective- but that seems impossible! I was pretty much the opposite, I saw Takki in a bunch of dramas, drooling on myself everytime. When I heard he was a singer, and a pop singer at that, I was a little scared, thinking it might ruin his total hotness, but now I really like his songs, and because he writes his songs (right?) it gives me more respect and admiration for him.

:sweat: Thank you. :glomp: I'm glad I look decent since at the time I was just thinking how uncomfortable I was and that this kimono would kill me either because of how hot it was or by dragging me through the floor. Just standing in full kimono is a hard, hard thing... (No wonder they took so many pictures of me in it- they must have been shocked a gaijin like myself could do it, just like using chopsticks... :hehe: )
:dancing: glad you guys like the clips and pix.
Yep, I do think Tsubasa is somewhat of an "acquired taste", most people would hear of Takki first coz he has so much more exposure in doramas and CMs... I mean I watched Takki in doramas for like a couple of yrs without actually knowing that he was part of Johnny's Jrs!! :shocked:
So yeah I was first a Takki fangirl, then by chance, I watched a clip of Tsuba's dance medley and yep, it was ♥/lust at first sight *LOL* There was just this magnetism about Tsubasa performing on stage, and he has that sweet and innocent quality that just makes people wanna "mother" him, like Takki does *haha*... and of course, he can be so adorably baka so it's hard not to love him more and more.
I definitely love T&T as a unit but yeah, my soft spot is for Tsubasa coz he's just like the cutest dancing baby doll ever... :nut:

Not sure if anyone here has seen Tsubacon 2004, but it's one of my fave cons ever so thought I'd upload a clip from there. Watching Tsubacon cemented my love and respect for Tsubasa... I can't wait to see his solo-con this year and also Takki's... they both make me so proud to be a T&T fan(girl) *LOL*

Hm....that link won't work for me. YSI keeps giving me a "this link does not exist" message everytime I try to access the link.
And yeah, I heard of Hideaki Takizawa first but I really didn't like him like that for a while. I'm still not fangirl-ish crazy about him and Tsubasa, but I think that they're amazingly talented first and uuber hot second :metaldevil:.
mikkirei, thanks for being so generous for upping the Tsubasa clip! ^.~ Either one of the T's make me happy, even more so when they're together :mrgreen: Spiffy dance moves, and a great live singing voice (impressed!) but his pants sort of scared me. :bonk:
I think Takki's career is sort of "reversed" in some sense - most Johnny's start out singing and then sort of get themselves into acting/doramas. But Takki jumped into doramas first and was acting a fair bit even before he debuted as a singer - and he was probably trained as one (and a dancer) throughout his Johnny years. Interesting ~ but guess he just had a natural flair for acting. Granted Takki is not one of the greatest actors I've ever seen (Tony Leung Chiu-Wai has my heart for that one) but he's a great actor regardless, really talented and you can see he consistently pushes himself to improve and he is such an enigma and so endearing on-screen.
I think what I loved best about T&T is that you can see they genuinely share a deep affection for each other and is truly each other's best friend - unlike some bands where they're all smiles for the cameras and bitch-slapping each other behind the scenes.
Jadrien, I'm your opposite *lol* I listened to them sing and then I found out Takki acts - and then I watched Boku Dake no Madonna with a little apprehension - because from my experience with Hong Kong stars, most of them can do one (sing/act) and totally suck at the other. But I was pleasantly surprised and OMG I want to take Kyon!Takki home and have him for my pet and cuddle him ~
And yup, Takki does write his own songs. He wrote Futari no Yoru on their 2wenty 2wo album, he also wrote a couple of songs for KAT-TUN, a song for Tsubasa (pre-debut days).
Question for everyone: Did Takki write a song for SMAP? I was running a search the other day and his pen-name (LaVenDer) came up in one of SMAP's songs, but I forgot which. >.<;;
Anyway, also sharing a couple of live T&T live performances:
Tackey & Tsubasa - Kamen [Hey Hey Hey Live Performance 2005]
http://s23.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=22VGBYQTVASW00PHEL7OKX8NB7
I've always loved the Kamen Lives because I get to see their totally spiffy dance moves minus moving pillars :metaldevil: (don't get me wrong, I do love the PV cos it's very well-done) - the only downside to this performance is that one girl kept screaming in the background >.<;;
Tackey & Tsubasa - Kamen [Pop-Jam Live Performance 2005]
http://s28.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3RSDPTKOKGM0X3KRTMWY9U8WGR
Extended a little compared to the other Kamen lives - they did the body-roll thing. :naughty: Very sexy indeed.
I have one other Kamen live [@ Music Station], but it's a 156MB file for a 3 minute performance >.<;; I don't mind upping it as long as there's people who want it though. :D
shoujo22, I'll try reupping the One Day One Dream performance on MegaUpload, I think YSI is being iffy at the moment - they also blocked my newly uploaded link *sobs* - I'll do it when I get back from class. ^^;;
EDIT: Hola, it's done, and before my class! :woot:

This is probably why I think of Takki as more of an actor than a singer. I also find that pretty impressive about him. So different from the crowd!

Yay, I'm glad. I didn't know he wrote for different groups as well. Didn't he also write a play, Dream Boy or something? Gah, he's a genius (and at 23)!
Jadrien24, I'll go look at your kimono pix too ookie? Very curious... heehee...
Of course, go ahead! That's why I put the link in my sig ;).
Jadrien24, Takki didn't write Dream Boy - but he was the youngest to star in a musical @ that particular venue/stage/something like that, I can't quite remember how. :D He's also the youngest ever to hold a lead role in a taiga drama @ Yoshistune. Apparently it's every Japanese actor's dream to be able to star in a taiga drama and some waited for years before the opportunity comes along - but Takki achieved that when he is only 23 years old. Impressive ne ~
Takki seems to be everything though - actor, singer, dancer, song-writer - also producer and director - I heard from pinkgloss a couple of posts back that he directed and produced a version of Arashi's A.Ra.Shi PV as well as the opening segment to Shounen Club in 2002.
...I love him, but the guy needs to sit back and relax, too. :shakehead:
Also, I'll be PM-ing you something in a minute - hope it's nothing you already have. =)

Hey is the T&T One Day One Dream download not supposed to have sound? Whenever I download it there's no sound at all. :puppydog: I really want to see it.

Is it the one I PM-ed you with? Hmmm, it should work fine - my Windows Media Player played it fine. Have you tried downloading the latest CODEC, maybe that's what's missing? But my CODECS are not updated and I can play it ~ it's weird...tell me if you continue to have problems, I'll convert it into WMA :fingerscrossed: and hopefully it'll work ne ~
Nope, that one was fine, so now I don't really need the earlier (different) posted one. Thanks again.
Oh and I agree, Takki needs to take a break and relax- with me ;).

damouse wrote:zaizaiaddict, pretty sure that there were no PVs for Kaze or Hito Natsu No - TxT have a total of 7 PVs I believe, and those two songs weren't part of the 7.
I do have a live performance of Hito Natsu No/Yume Monogatari @ Music Station though - as usual Yume Monogatari ate up the larger portion of the performance, but Hito Natsu No was performed as well. ^.^ Hope you haven't got it already - I've uploaded it here.

And also, I get you mean about the Olympus camera. I am strictly a Sony Cybershot fan through and through but after those CMs, I so wanted to run out and get an Olympus one. :D[/b]
wah! domo arigatou for the clip! :hug:
hahahaha!!! poor TACKEY! had to cover himself up instead! :naughty:
true true! :mrgreen: my friends told me before that to have the clearest pictures, nothing beats Canon. but my views have changed...when i saw the OLYMPUS ads of TACKEY, at least! :bonk:
itsumo, thanks so much damouse! muah!

zaizaiaddict, you're more than welcome! Hope you enjoyed all the clips. ^^;;

You guys know that some kind of Tsubacon DVD is being made available to overseas fans right? Don't know when its going to be available, but I translated a couple of "pleading" letters from english to japanese for two of my good buddies to email to J-entertainment. After a whole summer of receiving lots of fan mail from overseas they finally agreed to release one. Since I'm kind of tight with my money (to say "kind of" is quite the understatement) I'll just watch the DVD with one of them. I did tell someone that I'd be willing to buy them a copy of the DVD if they couldn't find a way to get it though ;).
