@pinkgloss: I hope maybe someone will fansub Tsuba's dorama soon =( if not I'll have to wait for it to be released officially in Mandarin subs so I can watch it. ^^;; I just really really want to hear Tsubasa speaking in Portugese (he probably did a better job compared to Takki-English-Disneyland XD).

zaizaiaddict, thanks for sharing so many wonderful pictures. Takki is just simply gorgeous.

Oh hey, just a bit of Takki-Yoshitsune tidbit to share: my DAD is actually watching Yoshistune via NHK at home right now - and he's really like WATCHING it as in he'll set it to tape if he has to work or meeting or whatever. In fact he and mum sometimes fight for the TV cos she wanted to watch CSI since she cannot understand Japanese and there were no subtitiles (my parents are goofy).

I called home yesterday and he was like, I'm watching TV, so you talk to your mother...and I asked him just idly what he was watching and he said:

"YOSHITSUNE. NOW DON'T DISTURB ME, THEY ARE ABOUT TO FIGHT."

I think I sort of fell over. XD XD Later on I got him on the phone again sans distraction and he was then telling me the story while I just wanted to get his opinion on Takki. So when I got a chance to say something (he was so enthuiastic about Yoshitsune's story), I asked him, so how's the acting in there? The lead actor any good?

"The lead actor is very good. A bit lacking in terms of physique and fighting skills maybe, but he's very powerful in bringing life to Yoshitsune and charismatic as well...I like him!"

 The last bit made me fall over again - because my dad doesn't usually LIKE artistes because he couldn't be bothered with them at all (except Maggie Cheung Man-Yuk). I told him that Takki's only 23 years old and he was like waaaaait, that guy's only 23? He reckoned that Takki is young but not that young. I think he got a little more impressed knowing Takki's age now. XD XD :hehe:

So I found that the last person on earth likely to be a Takki fan IS somewhat a Takki fan. Or maybe rather a Yoshitsune fan. My father = win.  :victory:

And after all that babbling, I have media to share - just most recently acquired the Kamen Utaban performance and thought I'll share it. Now I'm just missing the Music Station performance. T____T :shamefulcry: *wants it!*

Yup, my father can speak/write/understand/read Japanese, very well, indeed, seeing how he spent 10 years of his youth in Japan and he graduated from Waseda Uni. ^.~ (but he refuses to teach me, always says that he is too busy T__T) I'm very surprised at his attachment to Yoshitsune because my father is not a dorama person at all - he often prefers to watch news, sports etc on NHK rather than the doramas.

*laughs* My father actually dislike most actors/singers so it was a pleasant surprise to hear him went "Eh, I like him ~~~" I was laughing so hard when he said it...although I daresay if he ever saw blonde!Takki, he would not be as impressed. He actually asked me whether is Takki in anymore taiga dramas (cos he be damned if he watch the love stories...)...T___T well, Satomi Hakkenden is coming out...

You're welcome for the clips, guys, enjoy them! I also have the Kamen Live @ Music Fighter, but I don't how many people are willing to download a 170MB+ 3 min clip...but if you guys really want it, I could up it. =)
14 Oct 2005, 11:27 #1079
damouse - ahaha, that's really funny!! XD My host dad and brother in Japan were biiig Yoshitsune fans too. They'd religiously sit down in front of the TV on Sunday night to watch it. xD Of course... I wasn't a Takki fan when I was still in Japan T_T I just knew about him ^^;; Oh well... x_x Thank god for the internet, you can download anything! ^__^
