Hahahaha....Half of this thread is all your post about how you hate this drama. And I only post 2 times in this thread and you already tempered by it. How irony.
Go check this website and you can see the average rating of all the drama for this season, http://wi.55street.net/sichou.html . Eventhough Galcir is targetting on tennagers, the average rating is actually 12.73 which 5.51 below Top Caster(the highest rated drama this season). Galcir is not the worst rated drama this year. If you don't understand how tv rating works, read this article http://www.nielsenmedia.com/whatratingsmean/ . Next time do a research before saying something like lowest rating or something.
The things why I bother to post in this thread is because i don't think what you posted here is criticsm. I think you just throwing crap at this drama. Just beacuse you don't like it, you persuade others to stop watching it either. And saying things like ridiculous plot and stupid script or something like that. How much do you understand about the word "plot" itself. And how do you determined that it has a bad script. Just because it has Indians, Cowboy, Para-Para, Ganguro, Yaguchi Mari, a cactuar that hit someone who lie, somehow this drama turns bad? You can't judge a drama by the main story. Drama is all about "Character Development". Yes, I have to agree that this drama has a ridiculous story, and they add a lot of cheesy script in it. But that doesn't stop it to be good drama. And please remember that this is japan we're talking about. Their story are mostly ridicolous. ex. Love Complex, Saiyuuki, Takeshi Miike's movie.
And I also agree that this only an average drama. But compare to other dramas this season, this is one of the funniest. I am currently watching attention please, kurosagi, teruteru ashita, BusuKoi, Oishi Propose, and Primadam.
So stop throwing crap at this drama. There's a thin line between criticsm and throwing shit. I just hope that you are academically intelligent enough to understand that.
And to others who want to try this drama. Don't hesitate to download. You can always stop at 1st episode if you hate.
well you obviously don't understand the word criticism and your grasp of semantics is about as weak as your ability to write and rebut my comments...i provided a critique of the show with an analysis of why it fails in many respects....that's not throwing crap as you so eloquently put it....by the way i don't need to throw crap...this show IS crap.
for one i never said it was the worst rated dorama i said it was the one of the lowest rated doramas so don't put words in my mouth...because i never said that. in any case, an average rating of roughly 12 percent is nothing to boast about and definitely places this dorama in poor standing vis-a-vis some of the more successful doramas that have aired on television.
story? this dorama is virtually devoid of a story....if you can't see that well then your capacity to deconstruct this poor exercise in entertainment is lacking. you seriously think this dorama excels in terms of character development?????? you must be joking! the transformation is so trite and hackneyed a 15 year old could have conjured up the script. example...a girl wants to ACTUALLY kill herself because a bunch of dumb girls make fun of her....then she's miraculously saved and comes to the light...that's character development?
please don't decry other doramas if you seriously believe this dorama stands on character development. that is an absolute farce. you are uttering platitudes without any support or reason.
i know ppl on this board who are watching this show and i never told them to stop watching it in any case....so again don't try to twist what i said...
even a entertainment journalist FROM the Japanese newspaper the Daily Yomiuri totally bashed this lame show. just watch it and please don't attempt to defend this bad show to me....if you think you can intelligently defend this show on the merits, either you have nothing to judge it against or have had an extremely limited universe of experience

From Daily Yomiuri, April 20, 2006, Wm. Penn, Televiews]:
Help! We're being attacked by the Lone Ranger in a Superman cape, a hang-gliding Arizona cowboy in designer sunglasses named Shinnosuke (Naohito Fujiki) and a Japanese guy masquerading as an Indian named Geronimo III.
Worse yet, they are all encircled by a dastardly 500-member Shibuya gang of arm-fluttering para-para dancers calling themselves Angel Heart. (Former Morning Musume member Mari Yaguchi can be spotted hanging out with this crowd.) This small-screen potpourri of platitudes, stereotypes and strange silliness calls itself Galcir (Saturdays, 9 p.m., NTV network). Galcir is short for "gals' circle." When they are not "dancing," the members spend their time fighting, snacking, bullying each other via cell phone, and lounging on the floor of local stores. They don't shoplift stuff. They sit right there and use it in front of the owners, adults who feel powerless to stop them. As one of the shopkeepers says with a moan: "We've been taken over by aliens. In the good old days, this used to be an adults' town." Yes, and in the good old days continuing series also had to exhibit a minimal level of believable idiocy before getting into prime time.
As Galcir shows, anything goes nowadays, and there do not seem to be any adults in the TV industry to stop it. I hesitate to say this--because whenever I do something even more abominable shows up on screen the next week--but Galcir earns a spot on my Top 5 list of all-time disgustingly ridiculous dramas. The producers prefer to call it "seishun [youth] comedy."
Oh yes, the storyline. There is one. Shinnosuke has come to Shibuya in search of a 17-year old girl called Imoko, whom Geronimo III wants to see before he dies. Back in Arizona, this modern-day Geronimo sits coughing in his tepee with darling little Momo, an 8-year-old in buckskins, by his side. When she addresses him in English, he admonishes her to speak Japanese. What strange never-never land do they all inhabit? Well, the Japanese cowboy lived in Tokyo until he was 7 and then somehow turned up in the Arizona desert where he has learned to lasso, cook out, sleep in a tepee, hang glide and dig holes to trap both food and para-para dancers, but he has not had time to master either language.
The opening scene has him being dropped out of what appears to be an old U.S. military plane. He hang glides over the metropolis until he hits Shibuya and sets up camp in a park where the local bicycle cop tries to evict him. His green hang glider comes in handy later. When one of the Angel Heart girls burns down the tepee, he just cuts up the glider, weaves it into a hammock and installs it in the apartment of the kind-hearted cop, who wakes to find meat cooking over an open fire in his six-mat home. The cop desperately puts out the fire by squirting it with ketchup. Voila! We have grilled meat with barbecue sauce. If this were all just designed to be pure silliness, it might be labeled camp. What is truly annoying is the scriptwriter's attempt to write in little parables for viewers. Shinnosuke asks the cop: "Do you want to protect people or rules?" The policeman ponders. Voila again--an awakening. The para-para girls carry out a concerted "drop dead" ijime bullying campaign by cell phone, driving one girl to contemplate suicide on a high rooftop. (Bullying cell phones...is there any role those little rectangular, multitalented characters, can't play?)
When one of the perpetrators accidentally topples off the building instead of the intended victim, Shinnosuke lassos her in the nick of time but lets her dangle six stories up until she learns what "drop dead" feels like. Just when you think the whole thing could get no sillier, little Momo herself hang glides in from Arizona. No stars for this one but you will feel like you are punch-drunk and seeing stars if you try to sit through an entire episode of Galcir. I certainly did.
