Runpup is the username I've used since the early 90's on the WorldWideNet when I was into greyhound racing...silly as it seems, I yelled that for my bet to come in...it rarely worked...

Not so long ago, I couldn't imagine myself at 20 years old. I thought I'd be dead before reaching it. :hehe: Now, I can't even remember what I did when I was 20. :puppydog:

As long as your healthy and all, getting older is not so bad. *I try to convince myself* :hehe: It's not like you can do something about it. Unless you can travel through time or move to pluto and gain a year every 250 earth year. It's too cold anyway.

I may sound and act like a 14 year old boy, but I'm not. :beaten:

I still remember the day I got my first V.22 modem - I had tears in my eyes... Nowadays I got p**ed off at a T1 connection for being slow. Spoiled, I know. :bonk:

LOL.

In my first programming class at UCLA, we were still using punched cards. :beaten:

I just missed that boat - when I visited my alma mater just before I enrolled, they were still using punch cards. However, I became the first batch of students in the course to use the brand new terminals for inputting. Ah, nostalgic times...

Jeez, runpup, I really thought you were a teen! A lot of surprises here.

@Tabana: LOL! :muack: That's why we love you, really.

Yeah, the following year, they purged the punched cards and installed DECWriters.... :puppydog:

LOL, the computer programming course I did after finishing my trade still had a section devoted to punch cards. There was actually two courses - computer programmer and computer operator... back when computers needed "operators" :hehe:

I love these forums and that I'm not the oldest one here (unlike some other Japanese related forums). :dancing: Sanjyuunisai (32) here.

Now if only older people would join some of the other forums I post at, I wouldn't feel like the minority there. But yays, high five! (is there a "high five" emoticon here?)
