JUST WATCHED PART 1! omg although I only understood about 70% of what was going on, I laughed so hard at many scenes!!! SO, SO FUNNY! I love how they gave flashbacks of the series without being obtrusive and lengthy XD just great for those who haven't caught up with the series :D
Need to spazz more but will do so when finishing watching part 2!!! oh god it's soooo slow >< torrent is up, download it!

LOL, I couldn't remember his last name, but I remembered the yakisoba.
That's about the most memorable thing in that segment! I actually saw him in another segment where he eats Kogashi Negi Ramen (Fried Onion Ramen) at this place called Chabuya....it looked divine!! They actually opened a Chabuya on Sawtelle in West L.A. last year but they don't serve the Kogashi Negi Ramen...they dumbed it down for the Americans :shakehead:

That's so ridiculous, considering that area is typically frequented by Japanese nationals...
I finished watching the first part of the special. Soooo cute!! I love it. I made a few screen caps, but don't know if I should post em. Might be spoilers for a few people.

I'll tell you this...after watching the Daniel Carl segment where he went to the Chabuya in Tokyo and finding out there was a Chabuya in L.A. I was really disappointed they didn't have the kogashi negi ramen. :(
Part 1 was well done. Spoiler — click to revealChiaki didn't seem to mind that Nodame introduced him as her future husband (or did I hear it wrong) and got jealous when Nodame stayed in Franz (??) room overnight. Oh sweet Chiaki, he rushed to check just to be caught red handed by Tanya and he had to make up the poor excuse of coming to visit her or something, handing over his grocery hahaha... There was definitely more romance in here, holding hands, hugging and stuff... I wonder if the last hug was the same as the scene in the manga "I'm entering the woods of the weird."
I see that they let the foreigners speak in their language and do a dub over in Japanese.
