Nodame Cantabile DVD to be packed with bonus material
Posted by HPriest On April - 9
The second "Nodame Cantabile" movie is about to open in Japan, but fans are able to look forward to another release as well. They've finally announced the release date and details for the upcoming DVD version of the first movie.
There are going to be a special edition and a standard edition. The special edition will contain 3 discs including the movie itself and amazing 300 minutes of bonus material. Most of the material will show the making of the music and the CG, but of course fans can also look forward to long interviews with Ueno Juri, Tamaki Hiroshi and the rest of the cast. Further the special edition is going to included deleted scenes, behind-the-scenes material and a lot of outtakes. The first couple of DVDs will even come with an exclusive image drawn by Ninomiya Tomoko, mangaka and creator of Nodame Cantabile.
A Blu-Ray version will be available as well. The dorama has never been released on Blu-Ray, so it will be the first time to fully enjoy Nodame in 1080p. The DVD and Blu-Ray will be released on June 4.

Unlikely, given the past history of previous releases. :puppydog:

Sweet; it's a good thing we have a PS3 at home, so I'll be definitely buying the Blu-Ray version so I subject my family to the wacky fun that is Nodame Cantabile

I wonder if they'll re-release all the other stuff (original series, SP) in Blu-Ray as well.

*i was trying to say a little late, sorry.
i thought it was pretty good, although the reviewers from singapore didn't give it a good rating. :grumble: i'm pretty sure everyone loved the movie too according to my statistics lol!
i myself prefer the drama to the movie but it was still good. some parts were touching and sweet though. i laughed and enjoyed the movie throughout. XD and the music, gosh i have no complains! i'm also glad their acting remain as awesome!

nodame seemed to get sadder from the drama to sp to the movie, it kind of breaks my heart so much. and i think she is going to go back to japan omgosh! i miss Rising Star and i think they are going to appear in the next movie
i am actually surprised you weren't disapointed :beaten: . it was okay. dorama and SP was much better though. the movie felt like it was a prologue for the second part. in a sense, the first movie was an insignificant part of the whole nodame story. and i'm pretty sure anyone who hasn't watched nodame before would be totally lost (if it was to be seen as a stand-alone movie). i expected a little more in-depth focus with the relationship and the new neighbors but it was all chiaki.
frankly i thought the trailer for the 2nd movie was more exciting than the 1st movie itself
i guess i just felt like the story and emotions wasn't built up well enough, looking at the fact that it was a stand-alone movie. you still want the movie to be special without having to reconnect everything with the dorama or anime or manga and enjoy the movie for what it is and not just because you're curious about what happens next in the story.

the ending where nodame was all sappy and stuff about how she's far behind chiakiReplying needs an account. Registration opens soon.
