There are English subs for this drama, although of course not the DVD-set from Fuji TV.
Yup I have seen it with English subs... I'd just like that official box set to show my support *pouts* but like I said there's not much point until my Japanese is better :puppydog:

The point is supporting the drama... The Japanese is a side issue. ;)
Funny how some dramas affect you. My local PBS station today had a show entitled: From The Top: Live From Carnegie Hall "Youth Philharmonic Orchestra" which included three seperate performances.
Now I'm not sure I really would have watched it before, but after Nodame, and learning a little about orchestras from it (not hard when you knew nothing), I was quite fascinated by the show. Everytime they showed the tympani, I was smiling (it was a real girl in this case). They had a final performance of a triple concerto with the concertmistress, a painist, and the lead celloist. They were all 17 years old and amazing players. I have to say I enjoyed it more because of Nodame. And the concertmistress happened to be an Asian girl!

Excellent.
What greater compliment for a movie/drama/show than for it to expand your horizons.... :D

I feel I may end up poor... but at least I will be poor and happy
I guess from watching it several times I know what's happening anyway.... maybe then buying it officially without subtitles will help with my learning Japanese (is trying to justify it) XD
I never did get around to buying/ downloading the soundtrack
Since watching this dorama I have played on my piano nearly everyday! I didn't even do that when I used to take lessons!!! :beaten:

It's still available... See page 472 of the OST thread. :)

This drama and Swing Girls have really increased my fondness for classical and jazz music, respectively.... :)
This drama increased my love for classical music too :victory: I mean I liked classical music to begin with but after this I actually found myself in the classical music section in HMV  I think when I went to the counter the cashier must have been VERY confused because I had such a mixture of CD's like My Chemical Romance, Hym and then there was Beethoven!!!!!!!!
If I don't end up buying NC off cdJapan or something... I'm planning to go to Japan at the end of the year... knowing me I'll come back with it!!! If I saw it in a shop right THERE in front of me, I don't think I'd be able to resist the evil voices in my head!!!
