So I have just returned from a long European trip and was amused that I was affected by Nodame even on vacation.

So before vacation, I had read the manga chapter that refered to Sir Edward Elgar and Pomp and Circumstance. So now, I'm in London at Westminster Abby, and there before me is the plaque for Sir Elgar. I go, "I know who he is...." but wouldn't have 2 months ago.

Later I'm in Vienna and find myself in front of the building for the Vienna Philharmonic Orechestra. While I couldn't get tickets for that evening, I did manage to attend a concert of the Vienna Residence Orchestra. Again, I'm not sure that I would have done so before Nodame.

Funny how Nodame still had an effect half-way around the world.
