I'm really not that much of a fan of Alice Nine, I'm much more of a gazettE fan; for some reason not all Alice Nine's music appeals to me and its not something i'd listen to but there is some good stuff. But come on! Bumping into Shou! What girl WOULDNT want to bump into a jrocker? And if Shou's there, it means some other jrockers cant be all that too far behind! And she was in Harajuku so there'd be plenty there I suppose.

I was a Alice Nine fan first but I like Gazette alot more now....mainly becuase I feel alot of Alice Nine's music is too soft...but i still love them...especially my tora

I love gazettE cos they're really balanced in their music. They've done almost everything and it all suits them. They've done some very beautiful romantic songs(Cassis, Kare Uta), really heavy deep songs(Taion amongst others, even though every song of theirs is deep), there's now rap and hip-hop on the new album(Agony, Art Drawn By Vomit) some songs that have some meaning but are just really upbeat and fun(Silly God Disco, The Social Riot Machines, The Murders TV) and then there are songs that for some reason, even if you dont understand all the lyrics, they just get to you like Bath Room; that song is about a kid watching his/her mother die and i guess you really feel it when Ruki sings that song. Then what I love, there are those taboo topics that The GazettE tends to be known for bringing up their music, brought to the surface, like 'Filth In The Beauty' which is about father-daughter rape/incest.
Then there's Miseinen which is so touching and sad that its amazing that it sounds like such an upbeat song, like whether you like the gazettE or not, if you're stuck listening to their music then at least you can be guaranteed enjoying a bit of it because the choruses are usually ones that are so catchy they just stick with you.
Goodness, I'm rambling again.

I've never really listened to dir en grey, if i recall they belong to another sub division like PS Company right? I'll be sure to give them a listen, I've been meaning to do so for a while now.
But yeah the gazettE is great for shouting out anger or even pain, is it just me or do things always feel so much better after listening to their music and letting go of the emotion? I think it really helps me and its calming me a lot which is always good, sometimes there isnt even any need for me to shout or cry or anything cos for some reason i just find some of their music comforting. I think there's something to suit almost every occasion.

I just listen to plain Jrock that's not something like Kagrra and VK (since most VK songs are darker)....but like my friend, I usually listen to pierrot....mostly yuuyami suicide....unaired version very.......odd. yummy.

If you like Gazette than there is a good change that you will like Dir en grey. It is weird...they say that music effects peoples emotions and that an angry song makes people angry and a sad song makes people sad. I feel that it works that way in every aspect except when it comes to angry songs. I mean i almost wanted to cry when i read the lyrics for Cassis. Yet when im angry I like to listen to someting like Taion or Clever Sleazoid (dir en grey) and it helps me vent my anger out
AngelOfNeglect wrote:
Yeah, but with me sometimes just listening to angry music calms me down. It kind of makes me get the anger out, but without actually letting much out but still feeling a lot better. I suppose its because when people listen to music that reflects their feelings, they tend not to feel so alone.

the only song i know of pierrot is Barairo No Sekai

that is true too...when i get really angry my chest tightens and i just want to scream my heart out
AngelOfNeglect wrote:
Well my whole dad's side of the family has severe heart problems that I most likely inherited from my dad so I try not to do it with the screaming lol but I really know what you mean, I have the live versions of Taion on my mp3 player and because Ruki screams a lot on those lives then it makes it easier to scream too. I dont know if this ever happens with you, but you ever try to like immitate a scream, put the energy of a scream into it but not getting the sound out? Well i do that a couple of times and it really works too, especially since if i need to get things out and i dont want my mom thinking im possessed or something, it really helps.

hm....never heard of it....>.> I don't listen to Pierrot much.
And Tenshi-chan, you said you wanted Ruki with the red bg? sigh. well after getting really annoying shots of ruki with his head down and with half his face, I've managed to get some. Sorry they're not that good...he doesn't move much....I'll put then in separate posts even tho theyre small (from the screen size) because last time we flipped off a mod ended up with a temp topic lock....>.> so, i give you STRAIGHT BANGED RUKI!!! (oh god. that didn't sound right)

usually, when I'm angry, I go listen to angry music, take a picture of the person I'm mad at out of my yearbook(by scan), photoshop it, write weird stuff on it, draw on it, sets it up as a target, put a bag of colored water in front of it, then shoot arrows at it with my compound bow while shouting(more like muttering) every possible profanity word I can think of while listening to angry music. Then after a few sets of arrows shot, I go up to forums and rant. A LOT. I did that once. It was FUN.
Watching that stupid b**** getting shot with my arrows....I LAUGH!!!......>.>
