Kanojotachi no kekkon 1997 · Fuji TV

It's about women in "marriage fever" who break it!

Yup, the title says it's about the ladies' marriages, so we start out seeing the main characters as desperate women who wanna marry no matter what cuz their biological clock is ticking..but this changes along the way...This was the typical view in the US and Japan in the 90sI wish I saw this before I got married to my first husband, it would have saved a lot of pain! Just kidding.

I am Japanese American, and I can't believe how UNREALISTIC this show was. How come the Japanese Americans in this movie is soo fluent in Japanese? Ok, I tried to think that maybe they lived in a Japanese community, but I still think unlikely. During the times w/o internet Japanese in the US really did not have much to watch on tv, etc. OK, I do speak fluent Japanese, but that is because I learned it on my own and went to Japan at 18, studied and lived there a few years. and since then I have watched Japanese tv, by subscribing to Japanese Tv. Now thanks to the internet I can keep it up by watching shows online, thank goodness!

I loved everything about this show.. the characters, the story, the music... luved it, luved it, luved it. I even bought the soundtrack, which I play it often...it really gets me going. I was surprised to learn that in Japan it was played up to be "sort of Japanese version" of Sex and the City..because it's 120% better than that stupid American show. The stories and characters don't even compare. A must see for the modern gal.
