I owe my Dorama obsession to Koyuki. Applaud
After I saw her in the Last Samurai I was checking on ebay for other films with her and found a copy of Beautiful Life, something called Dorama. That was the first time I heard that term, I loved the Beautiful Life series, it is still my favorite. Then I discovered all the websites and downloads - and that was it...
Now my modem is burning up and I got 400 Gig of hard drive space - talk about addiction.
Another of my favorites is Sleeping Forrest, currently being seeded on D-Addicts...

The first jdorama that got me hooked was "Risou no kekkon/An Ideal Marriage". I loved it so much because I thought Yutaka's Otaki was so naive and cute Lovey Eyes . I also love Tokiwa's Mari because she's so radiant. An ideal couple!! Applaud

I started watching about a year and a half ago. I "got hooked" by SOS. (GTO was the second one I watched, which is what I think really locked me into the genre).

I was a big anime fan before that. After watching so much JDrama, I haven't been as much of a fan. I wonder why that is.

Not sure of the first..but I think it must have been Beautiful Life. Now any Kimura appearance gets me bright eyed. Also that marvellous 'Hojo Tokimune' was one of my early ones. Then there was that beautiful one about the women in the inside of the Palace with all their politicking and backstabbing. I think Kitamura Kazuki was one of the Regents in that. I think it was called 'Ooko" but not sure. Beautiful costumes and splendid cinematography.

First drama(s) that I saw would have been 10 years ago. It had to be one of the following 3. Ugly duckling with Tokika Tokiwa, or Pure with Wakui Emi or Yellow Card. I really enjoyed all of these

I've no idea what my first JDrama was, since I was still in elementary at that time... I think it was one of Kimura-san's earlier shows... can't remember, but I seem to recall a wheelchair, snow, and haircut... =_=

The earliest one that I watched and have memories of it was GTO, then started watching for of Nanako's shows after that, yup. Smile
