Just finished Jikou Keisatsu episode 6...this show is great...I've always liked Odagiri, but I've only seen him in serious roles...he's showing true comedic talent in this...
the previews I saw of episode 7 looks like the next case he deals with is the armored car robbery that was the basis of the movie Hatsukoi, but I may be mistaken...

I loved this drama! Applaud I haven't seen Jikou Keisatsu 2 yet, but some say it's just as good as the first. I think Joe has a real future doing more comedy!

I absolutely loved Jikou Keisatsu. I'm holding my breath waiting to see if the subs for Jikou 2 get finished.

Odagiri, and Kumiko Asou are one heck of a team.

^ With all the raves for Jikou Keisatsu, I might just look this up.

On topic: I finished Last christmas today. Started on Koukou Kyoshi 1993, but with all the drama watching, I got tired and stopped in the middle of it.

I started Chonan no Yome 2 last night.

http://jdorama.com/drama.56.htm

EVERYBODY'S SO YOUNG!!!

Well, yeah. It's an older show, but just about everyone in it has kept on working steadily, so I know them all very well from their later work.

Case in point, it's a trip to see Yuko Asano playing a young woman, as opposed to the semi regal matrons she always plays now.

And Miki Nakatani as the snarky, bratty younger sister.

The show falls under the Daughter-in-Law theme, but it's not so much the war between the Mother-in-Law and the Daughter-in-Law, as it's a war between the two families of in-laws who dislike each other.

There's a lot of stuff going on with this show, but one thing I did notice was the chemistry between Nakatani and Yoko Nogiwa. I don't know if they'll get to develop it, but after only two episodes (yeah, I couldn't bring myself to turn it off after the first episode) I find myself wishing those two had worked together more often.

Gonna start Byaku Yakou. I just checked out the cast and it's the same as Crying out Loud... so I'm afraid now. What if this is just another remake of the same story using the same cast? Sweat

O good! I mean, I LIKED Crying out loud... but watching another version with the same cast woulda been too much. If the stories are different, I'll be able to go in with no expectations. Good

I've always wanted to watch that and the first one too. I'm going to check out if there's anyone selling or trading for this.

I just finished the first epi of Byaku (1h 30m) and it's clear I'll need a tissue box. Man... what a beginning. Sweat
