For my 50th post I wanted to celebrate by starting a new topic! Jumpie (yes yes, 50 is hardly anything to be excited about compared to you people in your 3000s... haha)

Ok, in 5 years time I see myself having graduated from university with a BA Japanese Studies and working possibly (hopefully Bleah ) for a Japanese company.

I also see myself being fluent in Japanese blah blah That is a nice goal to aim for! hehe

How about all of you others? I can already guess who the woman Ahochaude will be married to is.. Bleah

In five years I shall be living in lovelessemotion's Antarctic holy land, worshipping jdorama and participating in nonstop orgies. Failing that I'll probably become a break dancing instructor.

There's plenty of room for Ryoko in Antarctica, too.

Fair enough. If you get bored with that, though, you'll know where to go for orgies, jdorama, and break dancing lessons.

Heh. Interesting combo. Sort of a Caligula-meets-hip-hop-meets-Japan thing... hehe

Exactly. However, it will probably devolve quickly into sort of a me, alone -meets- extremely cold -meets- nothing involving japan other than surviving on instant ramen mixed with ketchup packets.

It's a nice dream though.

This question reminded me of a joke from comedian Paula Poundstone... "Do you know why adults ask kids what they want to be when they grow up? They're looking for idea!"

Where do I see myself in five years? Hard to say... Seeing I'm a total grown-up and have already established myself in my career of choice, there really isn't that much to change in five years. However, I'll tell you what I'd like be/have in five years:

1) Sakai Noriko gets a divorce from her husband. Later discovers me after searching the web and answering a "wink" e-mail made by me on get-a-date.com, then eventually falling in love with me for my technoweenieness. Eventually marries me, creating cute little groinks and Nori-Ps.

2) Get out of the computer engineering business and onto something more enjoyable. Maybe build Japanese anime garage kits for a living (some people get up to $150 to build a kit). Or maybe with the experience I'm getting doing captures of Jdoramas, I 'd like to go into the video production business.

3) Speak an elementary level of Japanese. I may still have a hard time having a conversation with Noriko-chan, but I have "other" ways of communicating with her. Naughty

That's funny..But I also see it as if I were being interviewed.."So, what do you see yourself in the next five years"

Seeing myself so desperate to get a job that day I said "I'd grow bigger alongside with the firm because the firm has given me the greatest opportunity to develop myself in contribution for my gratitude, I develop the firm to be bigger and more competitive."

Woo hoo..then I got the job then after that 5 yrs has past..heck..I don't care anymore! hehe

Amazing how fast these threads fill! hehe

I feel so young, the majority of you seem to already have graduated uni and have been working for several years.. Rolling eyes

I'm just over half way through my university degree.. hmmm Sweat

It is quite interesting that most of you seem to want to change your career path (^^), any particular reason? Crazy
