i suppose TS is the only place that sells doramas vcds...

u guys experience no problem with the motokare vcd by TS? I bought mine at westmall... keep hanging on vcd player... cannot play on comp somemore..

sigh..from all your postings, it seems to imply that the quality of jdramas vcds from taiwan is really bad...where is the Quality control ?

cant the japanese helped to put in english or chinese subtitles and export it for sale ?? What the heck is the issue about copyright ?(pardon me) as long as they don price it too steeply, jdrama hungry people over the world will surely buy them ?? Don you think so ?

enough of my complaints.. meanwhile i am quite inundated with the jdramas i can find on ch 8 and e-city already

there are too many pirated stuffs in Asia and Japan doesn't want their series to be pirated. And there are no VCDs in Japan.

Yeah.. but take note, it's $1.20 per disc. So if the box has 8 discs, it'll be ($1.20 X 8)...

The vcds from taiwan are so called 'pirated'. therefore they dun believe in quality control

japan doesn't release vcds of their dramas. only dvds which cost abt 3800 yen per disc. (ard S$80+) and vhs copies which cost much more i believe. as the dvds are targeted for the japanese market, it naturally doesn't include subs. if i am not wrong, it is only recently that japanese movie dvds have began including subs the down side however is the subs aren't exactly accurate. from wat i heard abt the issue on copyrite comes abt because us from hk/sg/tw aren't willing to buy dvds/vhs as the technology isn't that widespread here ie. not many ppl here have a dvdplayer. (well i guess this is changing with time) and where vhs is concerned it is too expensive to maintain. on top of that, the dvd / vhs prices are exorbitant. i mean to buy a whole dvd set of a drama including shipping and handling will set u back to abt S$400+ (sorry dunno abt the other countries only sg) even if u went to jpn to buy them it will set u back by at least S$300+ (trust me on the experience) therefore, the sellers from sg/tw/hk have made vcd copies of the dramas which the japanese stations claim is not copyrighted as they only release dvd and vhs copies.

I just wanna check out. Anyone bought the jap drama "Motokare" in Singapore? Did u experience any problems, like unable to play it on your comp, and the show keep hanging in the midst while playing.


If you didn't experience this, can you kindly tell me where u peeps bought it? I'm looking for it.

Anyone got any ideas where Motokare vcd can be found?

I have experienced no such problems with my MotoKare set... I bought it in Marina Square VCD fair about 5 months ago.. They were sellin Re Zhun brand Gold VCDs... I can play in on my comp and VCD player no problem...

You could look on Yahoo Auctions though, I'm sure there will be some people looking to sell that set... Just make sure it is that set though, as it can definitely be played on my computer and VCD player without problems. That's where all my screenshots and current avatar come from.
