Finally i've found Aoi Yuu tread... Hajimete i show her acting in RAINBOW SONG and TURTLE SWIM FASTER THAN EXPECTED along with Ueno Juri... And then yesterday i was download n watced NANAKO TO NANAO,..very touching movie...:cry: but backsound movie of it, not really matching with some scenes... but not much border me...

Masaki Okada, Yu Aoi co-star in "Raiou" Actor Masaki Okada (20) and actress Yu Aoi (24) will co-star in the movie "Raiou," an adaptation of a popular novel by Mari Ueza. This will be their first time acting together, as well as their first roles in a jidaigeki work. The story, set during the Edo period, tells of the tragic love between a solitary young man born to the shogunate's family (Okada) and a woman raised in the wild, deep in the mountains (Aoi). The movie reunites director Ryuichi Hiroki and producer Takashi Hirano, who previously worked together on "Yomei Ikkagetsu no Hanayome." Filming will last for a month, starting next March. Theatrical release is targeted for fall 2010.

^^^ Okada Masaki seems to be the young actor of choice for many these days...I don't think he's bad, can be quite cute when he trims the bush on his head, but I wonder why he's getting so many roles. Anyway I don't think this is their first time working together. Aoi Yuu was in "Honokaa Boy" with Masaki. Yuu-chan was absolutely lovely in all her kimonos in Osen. Will be interesting to see her in her a jidaigeki!

Sounds almost like Mononoke Hime (Princess Mononoke).

Hey you're right! I guess such a role comes naturally when you're Japan's favorite mori girl w00t!

Yup, I've seen that before! Apparently there's also a "numa" girl ("swamp" girl) sub-trend emerging Rolly

Anyway, I just found out Aoi Yuu is cast as a geisha in Ryoma den! I've never seen a taiga before, I think Ryoma den may be my first... Mr Green

In addition to producing, Convergence Entertainment will co-rep the film with Fortissimo in North America.
