Episode 5 is really good, IMO.
I didn't get to see 5 last night (I'll watch it today) but 4 was so horribly awkward!! (It's her 'revenge' and birthday ep) She's so childish and embarrassing... I was cringing throughout the episode and I actually said "Oh no!!" out loud like 3 or 4 times. Hehe.. it's a lot of fun.
Really those two may have the most peculiar, ridiculous relationship, ever. _________________

Last 3 episodes of Daisuki yesterday. Great drama, and yes, it is designated to make you cry, as Geez said. Nevertheless, I highly recommended. _________________

Oh dear I haven't been watching much - it's supposed to rain this weekend so I'll try to catch up with Last Friends ep 9 to 11 and perhaps an anime *moves to the anime thread*.
I've mentioned this before, but it deserves a second go around.
Misako Tanaka is brilliant. Not just good, or talented, or beautiful... though she's all three. She's flippin' brilliant.
"Second Chance" was her first go around with the character of Haruka, and the result was extraordinary. Haruka, a widowed mother of three boys isn't simply the good woman, or the long suffering woman, or the silly woman caricature that most TV actresses churn out.
She's a unique, original, multi-dimentional human being. She's a bully, a thug, a sweet gentle woman, a frightened girl, a selfish child, a strong woman. And at no point do you see Tanaka-San "ACTING". You simply see 'Haruka' trying to get through each day.
Eriko Komatsu, who wrote "Second Chance" (she also wrote "Tokyo Elevator Girl" and "Mama Chari Deka" -- also a Tanaka vehicle) liked what Tanaka did with the character so much that she brought Haruka back in Brother Beat ten years later.
In the do-over universe of TV, Haruka's 3 boys are different in "Brother Beat". She has a different last name, and we're pretending she never did get that "Second Chance". But the character of Haruka is the same. Just 10 years older. And still an absolute joy to watch. _________________

Reading Geez's reviews always makes me want to watch the dramas he's watching. Good thing I have Second Chance in my possession. Now if I can tear myself away from the other stuff I'm in the process of watching..
On topic: Aibou 3 & 4 last night. Kinda boring episodes and I found myself spacing out instead of watching it.
Also gonna try watching some other dramas that I've been meaning to watch and since I have the time today (no internet = drama watching time!), hopefull I'll get to at least 2-3 episodes of something. _________________

>>wonders how you can post without internet<< I think cori has some special powers she's not telling us about.
On Topic: It's been a week I think since I stopped watching Shomuni 3. GTA is ruining my life. I'll watch an epi before bed FOR SURE tonight. _________________

I just finished watching episode 7 of Ai no Uta ...but I think I'm going to take a break from watching this drama now. The beginning was really good and I like this drama but it is a tad bit sappy (though genuine). And I'm just not in the mood for sappy right now.

Okay, not so much a drama as a made for TV movie. But it stars Misako Tanaka & Kyozo Nagatsuka and I knew I couldn't just go from "Second Chance" to something I'd have to make excuses for. (You know, the cast is young... they're trying very hard... it's supposed to be dopey. That sort of thing.)
"Amagi Goe" is sort of a Murder Mystery. It's a good story. It's wonderfully written. And it featured two of my all time favorite actors.
If only TV offered up stuff like this more often. _________________

Didn't get a lot of Jdrama watching done these past couple of days (I blame the Kdrama I'm watching for taking up my time).
So far, I watched episodes 4 and 5 of Sweet Home. The ending part reminds me of Double Kitchen and that Jigoku drama where the arguing couple (or mother/daughter-in-law) takes out their frustration in some comical way. Also have to say that the girl in that drama who acts like Crayon Shinchan is adorable and I love the scenes with Danta Yasunori and his wife in the 5th episode. "T-back"? Makes more sense than a "g-string".
Also watched the first episode of Ryoukiteki na Kanojo and since I haven't seen the My Sassy Girl movie yet, I have the pleasure of not comparing the drama to it. So far, it's ok and had its fun moments. I think I like Mr. SMAP/Docchi (I can never remember his name!) slightly better than I have in the past. I'll probably watch the movie after I'm done with this drama. _________________
