Episode 22 "Father and Mother's Portrait" O.A June 12
Hidetada will appear for the first time in this episode with his childhood name, "Takechiyo". There's a scene of him getting ready for his first battle scene supervised by his father, Ieyasu and Honda Masanobu in Sunpu castle at Suruga province.

Episode 23 "Hidetada the Hostage" O.A June 19
"Takechiyo" have went through genpuku (ceremony attaining manhood) and got his name changed to Hidetada in this episode. This episode will have an exciting development and it will include where Gou, Hidekatsu-2nd husband-to-be and Hidetada, all three meet in one scene. In this episode, Gou and Hidetada are still arguing with each other. How they would end up together would be the highlight of the story.
My comments:
Quite curious with Ep22's title. Whose father and mother, I wonder? Is it Nagamasa-Ichi? Or Hidetada's parents, Ieyasu-Lady Saigo??
And it's very interesting that Hidetada will participate in his first battle as early as Ep22 which means he'll participate in Siege of Odawara. (while as far as I know, from historical records, that Hidetada's first battle is Sekigahara)
June, tanoshimiii~

LOL, here's 2ch theories, of why the sudden raise possibilities:
1. It was Golden Week's last day
2. AKIRA Hidekatsu first appearance
(AKIRA's fans and those who are expecting for another love story)
3. Hidetada's published photos a few days before
(Mukai fans might be thinking "perhaps it's time to start watching GOU")
4. There's no figure skate championship broadcast like in the previous weeks
5. JIN / jidaigeki trend effect
I would say it's a combination of these factors. Although, I'd think 4th factor would be the most reasonable ^_^
5% is alot. I don't think AKIRA and/or Mukai fans would raise the rating up that much.
Ep17

Bad news for AKIRA fans. He only appeared 1-2 mins altogether The story was more focused on Hideyoshi's effort in trying to make Ieyasu bow to him, and how he set up arranged marriage between his little sister, Asahi, and Ieyasu. Just a so-so episode. Nothing exciting. Perhaps because I like the Ieyasu-Asahi plot in "Komyo ga Tsuji" much better XD
As for AKIRA... I hope I won't be thrown by rotten tomatoes for being honest xP
He's very kakkoii the minute he walked in. Very charming. But then the minute he talk and laugh, I feel there's something lacking in his acting. And I feel no chemistry whatsoever between Gou and Hidekatsu. I hope that change next week.
There were new BGMs in Ep17, and I love them so much!!^o^ Can't wait for the 2nd OST release _________________
