Satomi Hakenden [里見八犬伝] this was an awesome series. a two part special episode... the story was very nicely told, the visual fx were awesome, the fight choreography was first class, and kanno miho was sooo EVIL ^_^... very well acted by all. taki was impressive with the sword, u can tell he's fresh off from yoshitsune :) .. loved it.

Satomi Hakenden [里見八犬伝] ���������` = awesome! [Rating: 10/10] too good to miss.
a story about 8 chosen warriors set with a destiny to save the country of "satomi" from impending doom resulting from a curse. the story starts off with the cursing, and then the princess sacrificing her life to save her country. her will carries 8 marbles to 8 different warriors who must come together and unite to defeat the evil that plagues the country of satomi. outstanding cast who each deliver a magnificent performance, especially kanno miho (sooo evil .. ^_^), nakama yukie is very elegant in her small yet pivotal role as the princess. ayase haruka plays the token damzel in distress very well and takizawa hideaki is quite impressive (as always) and his skills with the sword fresh off yoshitsune make all the action look very real. the action choreography in general is awesome with all the 8 samurai very believable, so are the visual effects.
this is indeed, too good to miss.
Tokyo Friends [東京フレンズ] Impressive [Rating: 9/10] The story follows the lives of 22 year old Rei Iwatsuki �uAi Otsuka, ��ˈ��v and her three new friends who she meets when she arrives in Tokyo, having left home. Rei's three friends, Maki Abiko �uMao Kobayashi, ���і����v, Ryoko Fujiki �uYoko Maki, �^�悤���v, Hirono Hayama �uRio Matsumoto, ���{仏��v are all like her, in that they are each young and attractive single women, living alone in Tokyo. Rei starts working in a small restraunt where she meets the three of them; and it is here that she also meets Ryuuji �uEita, �G�C�^�v and his band, "Survival Company" or "Sabacan". When a fight breaks out in the restraunt between the members of Sabacan, the lead singer quits the band leaving Ryuuji and the rest of Sabacan in a situation where they're left with no choice but to either find a replacement lead singer or disband forever. The impulsive Ryuuji decides to make Rei the lead singer and hence starts Rei's new adventure with Sabacan. The 5-episode series follows the band Sabacan's successes along with the love lives of all four women, each trying to find their own place in the big city. "Tokyo Friends" is a must watch for all Ai fans as her critically acclaimed performance sets the standards for all musicians trying to break into acting. With a high profile production crew, a talented young cast, excellent music by Sin and with brilliant original compositions by singer-songwriter Ai Otsuka, "Tokyo Friends" is not to be missed.
