One of the early ones that got me into this drama thing. All cast members give good performances, the three daughters...Shimizu, Tsumiki and Tokiwa all very early in their careers. Great comical moments between Ogata Ken and Fukuyama! If you can get a hold of this older one, be sure to see it.. |

I really liked this one! Very good story lines and the actors all interacted well. Imada is a crack up in this one also. On-scene shoots are good. Interesting plot to me was the change in all characters as they saw each other at a high school reunion, how things have changed in their lives, and how new and old love blossums...! |

Surprised to not see more feedback on this one here. Very popular series in Japan. Excellent drama that will bring you to tears one moment, and smiling the next. All cast members on this one do an outstanding job, of particular note: Nagatsuka Kyozo and Shinohara Ryoko. The stale indoor stage drama settings seen in other series is not an issue here. Many on location settings and excellent story-lines that deal with love between the students, substance abuse, ethics, and long-sought goals. The first drama I have ever seen, and the one that hooked me like a fish. Evidently one that had much controversy when realeased in Japan due to a father/daughter relationship plot (as if the student/teacher one wasn't enough). Well acted, good soundtrack and underappreciated. The tape I have of it is wearing out! |

As expected...many reviews on this one. I'll put in my 2 cents as well: well written and well acted. Inamori's antics and acting will crack you up. Really like Okusawa in this one...

Gosh did this one air this long ago? I'm getting old! Storyline is blessed with some good acting Akai Hidekazu does some good work on this one as a separated father dealing with the attraction of the lovely Miyazawa Rie living in the apartment next door. As always, Sano Shiro is a crack-up, playing the nerdy boss having an affair with one of the 'elevator girls' Worth a look! |
