Ii hito 1997 · Fuji TV

Run Nagase Run

9 / 10

27 Sep 2012

An under rated positive thinking country bumpkin really blows some fresh air into a money minded athletic shoe company. Nagase Tomoya is solidly cheerful and runs like a lunatic.

Tsuki no Koibito 2010 · Fuji TV

Solid romantic drama

8 / 10

14 Nov 2010

KimuTaku plays his cool self. Not a role to stretch him but rather one he plays well already.
Shinohara Ryoko is enchanting. Mixing Chinese and Japanese scenery is a refreshing change.
And the ending was very satisfying.
Really enjoyed it.

Yankee Bokou ni Kaeru 2003 · TBS

Inspiring

8 / 10

12 Nov 2010

Solid, realistic acting and scenes.
Absorbing to watch, the leads are believable.
A good vehicle for Yutaka Takenouchi.

Yaoh 2006 · TBS

Hosts are the most

6 / 10

11 Mar 2009

An often silly story line.
A #1 host who always is in the lamest suits.
And yet I managed to watch almost all of it.
Can quite figure that out.

Code Blue: Doctor Heli Kinkyu Kyumei 2008 · Fuji TV

Amusing

7 / 10

11 Mar 2009

Catchy stories, lots of highly unbelievable situations, an unusually attractive bunch of doctors, cool helicopters somehow still work in this drama. There is a strong supporting cast. The often trite stories are still well acted. The helicopter stuff is cool. No brain work needed to take this story in but it was fun.

Medaka 2004 · Fuji TV

Enjoyable

9 / 10

28 Apr 2008

Charming series about a "try your best" young teacher and her group of night school non-conformists.

Long Love Letter 2002 · Fuji TV

Kind of odd

6 / 10

4 Apr 2008

Well I watched the entire thing, thats why it rates a 6 and the beginning had some real promise.......and then the plot kind of drifted off into who knows where........
Sci Fi fans might like it more.

Jotei 2007 · TV Asahi

Fun all the way through

8 / 10

12 Mar 2008

Very catchy. Blasted through it in three nights.
If at times it is a bit contrived it does not fail to please.
Full points to a strong cast!

Wonderful Life 2004 · Fuji TV

A Home RUn!!

9 / 10

16 Feb 2008

Really enjoyed in this delightful story. Personal growth and a reevaluation of life's priorities go hand in hand with PeeWee baseball and the major leagues. Sorimachi is very well cast as an obnoxious star who needs a reality check.

Garasu no kamen 1 1997 · NTV

Fun

8 / 10

25 Jan 2008

Adachi Yumi steals the show as the charming and talented Maya.
The supporting cast is terrific as well in the anime/manga based story of a young actresses trials in her search for perfecting her art.
Very addictive.

hoteriaa 2007 · TV Asahi

Another poor remake

6 / 10

25 Jan 2008

Oikawa Mitsuhiro holds up this show in his version of the Bae Young Jun role. Aya..... ouch! Another weak performance on her part. Yet the show was strangely compelling, I only skipped one ep.
My recommendation is to watch the korean version which rocked.

Coach 1996 · Fuji TV

Baseball and Mackerel

9 / 10

20 Nov 2007

The problems of a high powered businesswoman and a small, seaside town's canning factory collide in this charming tale of friendship that is worth treasuring. .

Yasashii Jikan 2005 · Fuji TV

Not to be missed, deep and true

10 / 10

12 Nov 2007

Perhaps the most beautifully told, subtle drama Ive seen yet. Extraordinary scenery and filmwork, first class acting...I could go on an on...........

Satorare 2002 · TV Asahi

Sweet

7 / 10

25 Feb 2006

Odagiri Joe does a fine job in his portrayal of an emotionally immature, involuntary telepath who is continuously sheltered from the truth about himself. Much of the series is rather predictable and often a bit too sugary towards the end however. It was more engrossing than I expected though and I ended up watching the whole series which actually says quite a bit.

Taburoido 1998 · Fuji TV

Fun!

8 / 10

11 Feb 2006

A good pace, top actors with the emtertaining world of tabloid newspapers for a background makes for a thoroughly enjoyable drama. Tokiwa and Saito deliver as always!

Ruten no Ouhi - Saigo no Koutei 2003 · TV Asahi

Worth some time

9 / 10

11 Oct 2005

Deeply moving, with first rate performances by Tokiwa and Takenouchi, defines this based on a true story drama as a not to be missed classic. It is subtle not flashy so if you are looking for something snappy go elsewhere.

Chance 1993 · Fuji TV

Rockin'

9 / 10

10 Oct 2005

Arrogant, talented Yuhji played convincingly by Mikami Hiroshi will take you back stage in the life of a rock star. Up or down there is no slowing down the superstar!!

Gakkou no sensei 2001 · TBS

Worth a viewing

7 / 10

9 Oct 2005

Enjoyable, a bit predictable but charming nevertheless.
The school kids are delightful and Dohmoto and Takeuchi quite amusing.

Mona Lisa no hohoemi 2000 · Fuji TV

Worth a bid!!

8 / 10

16 Jul 2005

This stylish, classy drama takes you through the high priced art world and on the hunt for the missing Mona Lisa.
well scripted and acted. Eguchi Yosuke deserves the winnnig bid for his role of appraiser and auctioneer extrordinaire!

Seikei Bijin 2002 · Fuji TV

Not to be missed!!

10 / 10

9 Jun 2005

The extraordinary chemistry between the two leads is almost magical. And it will take some magic for the goose dressed in swan's feathers to win over the handsome Prince!

Hatachi no kekkon 2000 · TBS

Lively

7 / 10

30 May 2005

A bickering but loving family that run a nursery set the backdrop for the two eldest girls lovelifes.
Charming but a bit repetitive. Still the the outrageous behavior of the family was refreshing.

Toshiie to Matsu 2002 · NHK

Not to be missed!

10 / 10

30 May 2005

A period drama that tops them all. An epic of extraordinary vision. Brilliantly cast, Karasawa Toshiaki is the ultimate kibuki mono in his role of Toshiie! Nanako Matsushima, perfect as the ever knowing Matsu.
What a fantastic experience! Do yourself a favor and watch it.

Kyousoukyoku 1996 · TBS

Fantastic!!

10 / 10

9 May 2005

The actors were at their best. The scriptwriters were subtle and original. The characters real, flawed, talented, charismatic!!
I LOVED THE ENDING TOO!
But if youre looking for some snappy paced drama, this isnt for you.

Naomi 1999 · Fuji TV

A blast!!

9 / 10

4 May 2005

Naomi Toudou (Fujiwara Noriko) rocks as the High School teacher to end all legends with her cohorts, the other two Naomis! Brash, beautiful and armed with everything from her white miniskirt to an electric chainsaw!
Toudou-sensei teaches her kids to move ahead in LIFE!

With love 1998 · Fuji TV

With Love

8 / 10

22 Mar 2005

My rating is high due to my ridiculously biased attitude towards that insanely handsome Takenouchi Yutaka. Ladies, just seeing his hair makes the series worthwhile. On a more serious note the lead actress was charming even if her role was not much. Slow moving and about very reserved people somehow the story was still compelling in a way due to the fine performances of the actors. It was enjoyable but wont be making my top ten list.

Antique 2001 · Fuji TV

Antique

10 / 10

20 Jul 2004

One of my all time favorite dramas ever!! The cast are as delicious as their cakes. Cleverly written, funny and often touching, even with mediocre subs it is not to be missed!!
After all, ITS ALL ABOUT CAKE!!
