Abe Hiroshi is at his quirky, oddball best again: He's sorta like the lead character in the American drama, The Mentalist, mixed in with a touch of the Gluttonous Dectective from Kuitan...
The first 2/3 of the episode was quite good, but the latter third got a little too sentimental and smarmy...
Looking forward to Episode 2 with Abe reunited with Natsukawa Yui again... They're a great acting couple.

Hanayome to Papa episode 4.... I'm not expecting that I will enjoy this drama... hahhaa... I don't mind much about that annoying father...and Taguchi and Satomi were really cute together... hehe
Hope you enjoy it, funny that I just downloaded most of it off a whim, will be expecting a big thumbs up from your review.
Episode 10 of At Home Dad, just fantastic, no one can play such a variety of characters as Abe, gonna be sorry when it ends. _________________

Rinjo, Shinzanmono, Pandora 2, Mother.
Rinjo is my regular fav. TV Asahi did take the easy way though ... they should have given Uchino Masaki another character to play in another drama.
Pandora 2 has many similarities with the first season. A little too many perhaps. The previous cast was stronger, but maybe it'll surprise.
Abe is at his offbeat best in Shinzanmono but with the exception of the special cast his co-stars just fade into the woodwork and Kuroki Meisa's character isn't that mysteriously interesting as they're trying to pitch her. The episodes could also do with better storytelling because they are not being paced well or written with any suspense. _________________

Yeah, I pretty much agree... Meisa's character seems pointless at the moment.

You're right about Abe, everything I've seen him has been good to superb, just watched my 10th drama with him, At Home Dad. Gotta give a solid 9.5/10, as was noted, he really plays that off-beat, quirky role like no one else, highly recommended. Seems like so-so reviews for Shinzanmono though once again it's not his fault. _________________

Uh huh... There are very few, if any, that are comparable.
He has considerable presence... Being 6-4 helps, too.
Yeah, don't ever see anyone towering over him and not just his height. Changed what I was going to watch next, browsing thru his dramas Shiroi Haru looks really interesting, good reviews too, am downloading now, hope I don't get too Abed out. _________________

Kekkon Dekinai Otoko episode 6. Not the best Abe Hiroshi drama around but still a good watch. It's my 8th Abe Hiroshi drama now, wondering which one should I watch next, maybe Trick 3 since I have watched 2 episodes of it now.
About Shinzanmono, I will wait till all episodes are released and subbed till I watch it, which will take very long I guess lol

Yakusho Koji, Sato Koichi, Tsutsumi Shinichi. All three cut their teeth in dorama but have attained critical acclaim in the many movies they have appeared in.
Abe is more a supporting actor in this one, but it's still a great drama.
I second that opinion too, not just because Abe is in it but the drama itself was really good. Trick 3 is worth a watch too though season one was still the best, can't go wrong though with Abe in any drama. _________________

Dekichatta Kekkon.. I was going to watch it once but I don't like Takenouchi Yutaka. Guess I'll give it a try anyway since Abe Hiroshi is in it, I'm determined to watch all Abe Hiroshi dramas that are subbed anyway.
