my teacher john will leave us tomorrow and i want to give him a gift which is his name in japanese and i need your help

Is the above correct? Just because I'm curious, what parts of the Kanji are what? Like... �W makes the sound --, and �� -- etc etc....

The above looks correct to me. It is in the katakana script (not Kanji), which is used to represent foreign words (amongst other things).
The sounds are:
�W - ji
�� - yu
�� - ri
�[ - (extends previous vowel sound)
Combined, �W�� are romanized as "ju".
