you can go here:
http://web.archive.org/web/20020118103802/http://jdorama.com/

to check out some of the midi files from the old jdorama.com and decide for yourself.

I also like: say yes - chage/aska
that piano theme from love generation, i have a bunch more, but i'm sure you know what's best and appropriate. also, one last thing: congrats.

New Jersey United by Chemistry from the Wedding Planner dorama... it's not instrumental, but it's somehow appropriate... well, they did use it for a show titled wedding Planner - how could you go wrong? Big Grin

Oh and yeah, congratulations!!

Prrrffft. Why mess with ONLY what the J-TV dramas play?

Concerto for Piano no 21 in C major, K 467: 2nd movement, Andante
Garden variety wedding tune. As a marching tune, the trick is to NOT TO BLAST this song . . . let it compliment the march, nice and easy, there ya' go.

Suite for Orchestra no 3 in D major, BWV 1068: Air
This particular reference is available on The Very Best of Relaxing Classics, (and also actually available on a buncha' other classical collection CDs, but this version comes to mind immediately) from the London/Decca label. Gives ya'll wedding a li'l Battle Royale taste; make no mistake, though, if your bride chooses this song to walk down the aisle, weeping elicited from the peanut gallery increases by at least threefold.

L'Incoronazione di Poppea: Pur ti miro (Final Duet)
As with the rest of the tracks on his latest album, Joshua Bell performs this tune with Academy of St. Martin in the Fields (Michael Stern conducting). Everyone, together now, say "oooooh!"
Loop this one as guests arrive to the reception and they'll be thinking, even if they don't KNOW the celebrated Bell (or Academy of St. Martin in the Fields), "clayyyyyss." Can be used for a wedding march as well.

Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme, BWV 140: Wachet auf ruft uns die Stimme
Baroque tune. Composer: Johann Sebastian Bach. Accords a "we're in a movie" atmosphere to ya'll wedding. Play it again at the reception.

Music for the Royal Fireworks, HWV 351: no 4, R'jouissance
George Handel, as ya'll's exciting the church (or EVEN the Justice of the Peace's chambers). Happy, happy, victorious tune.

A competent version of Ave Maria, if you're Catholic.

Any more suggestions . . . please feel free to PM me.

Congratulations, ken2!

Hey...they want modern one not traditional classical songs.. Beaten hehe
That's why we suggest them with Jdorama theme song. Smile

Whooot..you like Mozart with his Klavierwerke? I thought mozart was quite boring. Concerto No. 21...zzzzz...I almost fall asleep playing it..d'uh.hehehehe.. hehe Something more majestically..try Felix Mendelssohn, midsummer night's dream wedding march.

Thanks for all the advice. Gotta find some time to sit down and listen to the songs now. Of course we could always use some of the songs during the reception. Thanks again! Smile

Looking for theme songs from these old shows from the 90s by Kubota Toshinobu ("Chance!") and Oda Yuji ("Okane ga Nai!").

Thanks for the Kubota song, valle!

Still hunting down the Oda Yuji tune...
