14 sai no Haha [14æ³ã®æ¯] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) | 87%~Watashi no Go-nen Seizonritsu [87%〜ç§ã®ï¼•年生å˜çއ] Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched) A pretty straightforward drama with no surprises or twists. But what I like about this drama is the realistic plot it has. It feels like an life-story that would happen to anyone around yourself. Didn't quite felt the struggle the female protagonist had & too much was focused on the treatment etc. It needs to have a little more dramatical elements. | Ace wo Nerae! [エースをãらãˆ!] Rating: 6/10 (Bought & Watched) somehow the storyline developed alittle too quickly. too fast & unrealistic |
Ai no Uta [ã‚ã„ã®ã†ãŸ] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) Thought that this drama is kinda under-rated. The story plot's not too bad...except for the unattractive male lead, so to say. Quite a heart-warming family-themed drama. Sadly, they really picked the wrong male lead. He looks too old to be a father of 3 young kids & for Miho to fall for him. Nonetheless, this drama is enjoyable. | Aikurushii [ã‚ã„ãã‚‹ã—ã„] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) I've always enjoyed family-based Jdoramas. The Japanese producers are really good at winning tears from the audience. The values potrayed in the drama are simple yet meaningful. Excellent performances by the young actors & actresses. They really touched me. And Uta-chan is so cute!!!!!! I would want a daughter like her...hahaha! A nice & heart-warming drama. Highly-recommended! | Anego [ã‚¢ãƒã‚´] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) What happens when you are over 30 years old & unmarried? Moreover, not attached & stucked in a working world of the men. This drama truly reflects the status of women in the society of Japan. A woman's happiness is to quit her job, get married & stay at home for good. Anego - Japanese for big sister. That's what 32 year old Naoko-san is known as among her peers. She's like a big sister to all in the company, providing her fellow colleagues a shoulder to cry on & a person to pour your woes to. So who does she turn to when she has troubles? Another excellent performance by Shinohara Ryoko. She brought out the exasperation of a 32-year-old single woman seeing her fellow comrades get married after one another. Dislike the plot where they made Ryoko fall in love with a junior colleague who's 11 years younger than her. Too over done. Like the idea of having Naoko-san "talking" to the audience at the start of each episode. Especially like the scene where all the female workers sent Naoko-san off on her last day of work. Girl power rules! |
At Home Dad [アットホーム・ダッド] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) very interesting storyline that tapped on the issue about the status of men & women in a family & society | Attack No.1 [アタック No.1] Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched) This is the 2nd sport Jdorama I've watched & I must say it's better than Ace wo Nerae. Because of the same actresses in both shows, (Ueto Aya & Sakai Ayana) I couldn't stop comparing the 2 dramas & the plot. Thank godness there weren't too much similarities except for the usual fight-on-even-though-you-are-going-through-hell-in-the-training spirit that's hovering around all characters. But of course, there're bound to be cliches in such dramas & no matter what, you know for sure the team's gonna win & everything will go alright. No surprises so to say. | Attention Please [アテンションン プリース] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) |
Bambino! [ãƒãƒ³ãƒ“ーノ!] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) | Beautiful life [ビューティフルライフ] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) Yes. Life is beautiful. So is the drama. | Bijo ka Yajuu [美女ã‹é‡Žç£] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) Matsushima Nanako is so charming in the show! I admit. I have a thing for career woman. A very nicely done twist in the relationship between the 2 leads. No matter how strong a woman is, she still needs a lover.... |
Blackjack ni Yoroshiku [ブラックジャックã«ã‚ˆã‚ã—ã] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) ahhh...my Satoshi Tsumabuki. the storyline's very similar to Shiroi Kyoto but this one's more heart-warming | Boku dake no Madonna [僕ã ã‘ã®ãƒžãƒ‰ãƒ³ãƒŠ] Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched) It was interesting in the first few episodes, but as the story develops, i got abit bored by it. but towards the end, somehow the drama revived & I survived through it till the end. Like the way Surumi calls "Kyong" Cute & affectionate in her own way... | Boku no Aruku Michi [僕ã®æ©ãé“] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) |
Boku no Ikiru Michi [僕ã®ç”Ÿãã‚‹é“] Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched) A rather slow-moving drama. The storyline's so simple that it becomes really dull & boring. You can already predict the ending right at the start of the drama. Gave it a 7 still & hanged on watching it all because of my Akiko. Hahaha! | Boku no Mahou Tsukai [僕ã®é”法使ã„] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) Very, very, very cute! | Boku to Kanojo to Kanojo no Ikiru Michi [僕ã¨å½¼å¥³ã¨å½¼å¥³ã®ç”Ÿãã‚‹é“] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) a simple yet heart-warming drama that depicts a change in a father after a divorce & he in turn improved his relationship with his father. |
Brand [ブランド] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) very ermm...high-class | Brother Beat [ブラザー☆ビート] Rating: 6/10 (Bought & Watched) Nothing too exciting about this drama. Bland plot with alittle exaggerated acting at times. Loveable characters though. A nice light watch. | Byakuyakou [白夜行] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) |
Dandori [ダンドリ] Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched) | Dare Yori mo Mama wo Aisu [誰よりもã¾ã¾ã‚’æ„›ã™] Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched) | Dekichatta Kekkon [ã§ãã¡ã‚ƒã£ãŸçµå©š] Rating: 5/10 (Watched) not my kinda drama... |
Densha Otoko [電車男] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) A rather cute drama with a very interesting plot. Somewhat like a fairy tale! Too good to be true. Thumbs-up for the excellent performance by Itoh Atsushi as Densha. He is so nerdy but cute at the same time. Got kinda irritated at the overly long scenes where the BBS participants chat & give their support & encouragement for Densha. Prefer watching Densha & Hermes-san together. Nonetheless, this is a refreshing drama that stands out. | Dr Koto - Shinryoujo 2006 [Dr.コトー診療所2006] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) | Dr. Koto Shinryojo [Dr.コトー診療所] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) heart-warming story accompanied with breathe-taking scenery |
Dragon Zakura [ドラゴン桜] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) I thought it was one of those typical school-themed dramas again, but I was wrong! This drama's not about rebellious students (although somewhere near), but on a lawyer's attempt to bring 6 students from one of Japan's lousiest high school to Japan's top university - Todai. The drama went into details about Todai's entry requirements, exam tactics etc. Ahhh! It makes me wanna go back to school all over again! | Egao no Hosoku [笑顔ã®æ³•則] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) Goldfish - that's what Takeuchi Yuko is referred to by Abe Hiroshi in the show but I don't see the resemblance anywhere near. A very up-lifting drama. Yuko's never-say-die spirit is very encouraging for all. | Engine [エンジン] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) "Jiro! Jiro!", that's how the kids call out to Takuya in the show. Extremely love the role Takuya plays. You can sense the seriousness in him, though he appears nonchalant. He has got his gentle side, although he looks tough all the time. From hating kids to giving up his lifetime dream & career for them in the end, this drama is no anywhere near the tough boy racing show that of Initial D. It is instead, heart-warming - like a cup of hot chocolate taken on a balmy rainy evening. |
Enka no Joou [æ¼”æŒã®å¥³çŽ‹ (ãˆã‚“ã‹ ã® ã˜ã‚‡ãŠã†)] Rating: 5/10 (Bought & Watched) | Fire Boys [ファイアーボーイズ 〜ã‚組ã®å¤§å¾ã€œ] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) Japanese dramas like to feature certain occupations i realised. From schools to hospitals to pilots to this, firemen. Anyway, it's always nice to learn about some on-the-job details. Rather nice drama with a couple of touching scenes. Especially like the episode where an old man sets his house on fire on purpose just to see Mahiru (starred by Uchiyama Rina). That was the most touching episode ever! | First Kiss [ファースト・ã‚ス] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) |
Food fight [フードファイト] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) they sure can stuff food into their mouths... | Fugoh Keiji [富豪刑事] Rating: 5/10 (Bought & Watched) Watched this drama to fill in the time while waiting for my other dramas to arrive. Interesting cases they've got there & a nice attempt to make the drama funny. But I simply hate the stupid ending. Too dumb. | Fushin no toki [ä¸ä¿¡ã®ã¨ã] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) |
Fuufu [夫婦。] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) kinda boring at lst with very predictable plot. but the last episode was excellent! it won my tears a couple of times. My fave scene was where Tamura Masakazu & Kuroki Hitomi were preparing for divorce & also how they met a year later. What Tamura Masakazu said to Kuroki Hitomi melted my heart "There's something you can't do. That is to die before I do. I won't forgive you if you do so" Awwww.... | Gakkou no sensei [ガッコã®å…ˆç”Ÿ] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) i wish i can get back to primary school all over again... | Gal Cir [ギャルサ] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) |
Ganbatte Ikimasshoi [ãŒã‚“ã°ã£ã¦ã„ãã¾ã£ã—ょã„] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) Wasn't too keen to watch this initially, thought it was just some other typical sports-themed youth drama. But when I started on it, I got hooked! It featured some kawaii female & male leads & like all sports-themed dramas, it taught the spirit of endurance, patience & never-say-die attitude towards challenges in life, though cliche. Till now, i still can't forget "catch row! catch row! catch row!" =P | Gokusen [ã”ãã›ã‚“] Rating: 6/10 (Bought & Watched) After hearing much about this drama, I finally watched it. Sadly, it did not live up to my expectations. While certain scenes of the drama are funny, it's lame most of the time. This drama lacks originality and I seriously think school life themed dramas are over-done & too cliche. So much that it loses surprises. However, credit goes to Nakama Yukie for taking on such a nerdy yet cute role. | Gokusen Season 2 [ã”ãã›ã‚“ï¼’] Rating: 5/10 (Bought & Watched) Didn't quite like Gokusen bought watch it anyhow since I bought it. Refer to comments on Gokusen. |
Golden Bowl [ゴールデンボウル] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) Kuroki Hitomi is so cute! Of coz, not forgetting my Takashi as well... *drools* | Good Luck !! [グッドラックï¼ï¼] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) very creative story setting that looks into the life of pilots, stewards & technicans. altho the 2 leads (Kimura Takuya & Shibasaki Kou) aren't quite compaitable, the chemistry between them is unique. of coz not forgetting ageless gorgeous kuroki hitomi. | H2~Kimi to itahibi [2〜å›ã¨ã„ãŸæ—¥ã€…] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) Very, very, very similar to an anime I once watched, Touch. But apparently, it's not based on that anime but another. Anyhow, a typical teenage drama with the expected love triangle story & what to do with life after graduation & all that. But it's nice seeing the baseball matches & all. It made me understand the sport alittle more. |
Haken no Hinkaku [ãƒã‚±ãƒ³ã®å“æ ¼] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) | Hana Yori Dango [花より男å] Rating: 5/10 (Bought & Watched) Having watch the anime version of HYD, I would say it's a zillion times better than the drama. After watching the drama, I still do not understand what's the big hoo-ha about. Prolly just the starring of handsome boys. A typical, really too typical teenybopper idol drama. No surprises at all & the drama's too short & ended rather abruptly. Nice guest appearance by Nanako though. | Hana Yori Dango Season 2 [花より男å] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) |
Hanayome to Papa [花å«ã¨ãƒ‘パ] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) | Hanayome wa Yakudoshi! [花å«ã¯åŽ„年ッï¼] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) | Hero Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched) |
Hikari to Tomo ni [å…‰ã¨ã¨ã‚‚ã«] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) a very unique theme to tap on - autistic children. so interesting that even my Mum got hooked! The ending's kinda weird though...that's where that 1 point gone to. | Hikon Kazoku [éžå©šå®¶æ—] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) a complicated & unique relationship between the 3 leads. especially love the opening theme song & the way it's filmed. very creative plot & unique story background. | Hitonatsu no Papa e [ã²ã¨å¤ã®ãƒ‘パã¸] Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched) |
Hitotsu yane no shita 1 [ã²ã¨ã¤å±‹æ ¹ã®ä¸‹ 1] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) Was a hit back then. Somehow this drama started the trend of family & kinship themed dramas | Home & Away [ホーム&アウェイ] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) a light-hearted performance by Miho Nakayama. it gets alittle boring as the story develops & you can easily guess what's gonna happen next. | Home Drama [ホームドラマ] Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched) very touching but somehow too dramatic to be true... |
Hotaru no Hikari [ホタルノヒカリ] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) | hoteriaa [ホテリアー] Rating: 6/10 (Bought & Watched) | Hotman [ホットマン] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) Heard so much about it & when I finally watched it, I finally knew why everyone's talking about it... |
Hotman Season 2 [ホットマン2] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) nanami is still as cute but i kinda miss a few of the old casts in HOTMAN | Ichi Ritoru no Namida [１リットルã®æ¶™] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) This drama marks the 100th Jdoramas I've watched. A drama I've been anticipating & it did not disappoint me. Very thought-provoking & tear-jerking. There was not a single episode that I did not shed a tear. Like the little snippets of quotes from the real Aya & photos of her showed how strong she was struggling to live on despite her illness. This drama also has a superb theme song which is very aptly named - Only Human. We are all only human & precisely because we are human, we live strong & on. Ichi Ritoru no Namida....I think I did shed that much of tears. | Ichiban Taisetsu na Hito wa Dare Desu ka? [一番大切ãªäººã¯èª°ã§ã™ã‹ï¼Ÿ] Rating: 4/10 (Bought & Watched) I bought this drama with regrets, and watched it dreadfully. This drama totally lacks focus. Half-way through you'll wonder what is the storyline trying to prove? A divorced couple rekindle their love? A teenage daughter hates her father but loves him at the same time? Or that benevolence from the new wife saves the day? A family drama turned bad. Very bad. |
Ima Ai ni Yukimasu [ã„ã¾ä¼šã„ã«ã‚†ãã¾ã™] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) Prefer the drama version over the movie. It had more time for story development & emotion flow. Performance by male lead needs to be improved though. He looks constipated when trying to show the melancholy side of him. Nonetheless, this drama is truly touching & watching it again (despite knowing the storyline from the movie) still brings the same emotional stir in me.... | Imouto yo [妹よ] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) The very first drama that got me hooked on Jdorama. My love & passion for Japan began with this drama as well. Re-watched it recently & still stays to be my top favourite! | Iryu [医é¾ã€€Team Medical Dragon]
|
Itoshi Kimie [æ„›ã—å›ã¸] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) A very tear-jerking & thought provoking drama. It left me thinking alot about life. What if I were to lose my eye-sight in 3 months? Will I be strong to live on? Will I be so selfless to bear all the pain alone? What if my loved ones were to lose their eye-sight? Will I be magnanimous enough to give them all I have? The final scene when Shunsuke finally loses his sight is beautiful....no words said, no regrets felt. Just unlimited amount of love that asks for no return. Such sweet sorrow.... | Jikou Keisatsu [時効è¦å¯Ÿ] Rating: 4/10 (Bought & Watched) This drama was interesting at first, but just after 1 episode, it dived straight down. It's irritatingly slow & stupidly spastic. Not my cup of tea. Bought & watched it to fill in the time I had in between while waiting for other releases. | Jodan Janai! [冗談ã˜ã‚ƒãªã„ï¼] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) |
Jyoou no Kyoushitsu [女王ã®æ•™å®¤] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) A very interesting plot that started off well. It kept me wondering what the hell is wrong with the teacher & who she is exactly. The development of the story is good, but its end is yet another typical good teacher wins the heart of the students storyline. Cliche, but yet touching & somewhat hooking. | Kami wa Saikoro wo Furanai [神ã¯ã‚µã‚¤ã‚³ãƒã‚’振らãªã„〜å›ã‚’忘れãªã„〜] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) This drama is surprisingly good & meaningful. A silly plot it may seem, but it has got lotsa underlying messages. About life, relationships & love. It tapped on the relationship between friends, family, colleagues & lovers. Especially like the last few scenes of the last episode. It's so goddamn touching! Love does not fade over time. It grows as you misses someone. | Kao [é¡”] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) Another breathe-taking crime thriller. I've always like Japanese crime thrillers & suspense dramas. They never fail to hook me. Same goes for Kao. Like the exploration of different cases in each episode it makes the whole drama easier to digest & anyone can just pick up the plot even if he/she watches it half-way through. Especially like it when Shishima tells Mizuho not to snatch his words before he can start saying them. And Mizuho will always reply "Ok!" with an earnest look on her face. |
Karei naru Ichizoku [è¯éº—ãªã‚‹ä¸€æ—] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) | Kazoku -tsuma fuzai oto no sonzai [家æ—〜妻ã®ä¸åœ¨ãƒ»å¤«ã®å˜åœ¨ã€œ] Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched) | Kekkon Dekinai Otoko [çµå©šã§ããªã„ç”·] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) |
Kenshui nanako Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Silly Nanako saves the day! | Kiken na Aneki [å±é™ºãªã‚¢ãƒã‚] Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched) A light-hearted drama not considered entirely comedy but rather funny. I think Hiroko is way too innocent & happy-go-lucky. So much so that I can I understand how irritated her brother is. Nonetheless, a drama for easy viewing if you are ready to accept some spastic factors in the show. | Kimi wa Petto [ãã¿ã¯ãƒšãƒƒãƒˆ] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) i wish i can own a human pet too. hahahaha! |
Kindaichi Shonen no Jikembo Season 3 [金田一少年ã®äº‹ä»¶ç°¿ 3] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) love the suspense & the twist in every episode. | Kindaichi shonen no jikenbo 1 [金田一少年ã®äº‹ä»¶ç°¿ 1] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) love the suspense & the twist in every episode. | Kindaichi shonen no jikenbo Season 2 [金田一少年ã®äº‹ä»¶ç°¿ 2] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) love the suspense & the twist in every episode. |
Kobayakawa Nobuki no Koi [å°æ—©å·ä¼¸æœ¨ã®æ‹] Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched) Nothing too special about this one. Story plot's alittle too cliche. Karasawa Toshiaki did a good performance potraying the goody good man. A rather astonishing performance by Katase Nana as well. A very different role from what I've seen her in. And oh! Their daughter is so super duper kawaii! | Koi ni Ochitara ~Boku no Seikou no Himitsu~ [æ‹ã«ãŠã¡ãŸã‚‰ã€œåƒ•ã®æˆåŠŸã®ç§˜å¯†ã€œ] Rating: 5/10 (Bought & Watched) This drama started off really slow & boring. You'll need alot of patience to watch through all the episodes. It made taking over companies, becoming the CEO & starting a new company from scratch seem like child's play. And as usual, the bad always turn good & the good, turn angels. Thank god the story plot took a better turn at the end. | Koi no Jikan [æ‹ã„ã®æ™‚é–“] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) It's all about love. That's what Koi no Jikan is about. Love in the adult world, love in the forbidden way, love in the family, love in its unexpected way. One may find this drama slow-paced, but the simple storyline with rich elements is what attracted me to the drama. Like the relationship between the 2 sisters, the jealousy they have for each other, the squabbles and the strong kinship. It's all so realistic! |
Koishite Shinitai [æ‹ã—ã¦æ»ã«ãŸã„] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) | Konshu Tsuma ga Uwaki Shimasu [今週,妻ãŒæµ®æ°—ã—ã¾ã™] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) | Koori no sekai [冰ã®ä¸–界] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) not the usual kinda light-hearted drama. heavy & full of suspense.... |
Kou Kou Kyoushi 2003 [é«˜æ ¡æ•™å¸« 2003] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) a very heavy drama. not the usual light-hearted & lovey dovey love story. a good switch from all those teeny love. | Kuitan [å–°ã„タン] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) The plot's something different from the usual detective doramas. It gets better when the story develops. When you thought all Kuitan thinks of is only food, he surprises you with his analysis of each case he & his failed detective agency gets hold of. A light and entertaining watch. | Kurokawa no techou [é»’é©ã®æ‰‹å¸–] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) I never knew much about Ginza & its operation until this drama came along. Excellent performance by Yonekura Ryoko. She really proves to be a very versatile actress. Nicely paced plot with very interesting characters. Men, don't ever mess with women.... |
Kurosagi [クãƒã‚µã‚®] Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched) | Kyumei Byoto 24 Ji Season 3 [救命病棟24時 3] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) a very realistic drama with very strong human element. so touching that cried after watching every episode. the earthquake setting were very well-made & realistic. i'm looking forward to more Kyumei Byoto series! | Last Christmas [ラストクリスマス] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) a wonderfully sad, romantic & humorous romance story. beautiful setting - xmas, snow, carols. especially love the scene where Yuji Oda & Yada Akiko took a picture at the sea-side. how i yearn for a romance like theirs....this drama will stay to be my top favourite for a long time now. |
Liar Game [ライアーゲーム] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) | Long vacation [ãƒãƒ³ã‚°ãƒã‚±ãƒ¼ã‚·ãƒ§ãƒ³] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) I can't believe I actually forgot to add this to my record of dramas! Anyway, another of my long-time favourites. Simply love the theme song | Love generation [ラブジェãƒãƒ¬ãƒ¼ã‚·ãƒ§ãƒ³] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) watched it too long ago. can't remember the exact storyline... |
Love letter Rating: 10/10 (Watched) i simply love this movie. u'll be totally lost initially but as the story unfolds, u'll be charmed by the beautiful twist & plot. thumbs-up for this movie!!!! | Lunch no Joou [ランãƒã®å¥³çŽ‹] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) this has to be a good one since my Satoshi Tsumabuki is in it =P this show made me fell in love with omu rice. umai! | M no Higeki [ï¼ã®æ‚²åЇ] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) "oh my f*cking lord!" - was my first response when I finished this drama. Excellent plot with very unexpected twists. There are like secrets within secrets. Truth often hurts. As each secret uncovers, the truth to it are somehow inter-linked. This drama taught me something - be careful of your doings. You might hurt someone without even knowing it & in turn this will change your life... |
Medaka [ã‚ã ã‹] Rating: 6/10 (Bought & Watched) typical teacher & student drama. somehow the teacher just manages to solve every problem she meets & at the end of the day, gains trust from the students. | Minamikun no koibito [å—ãã‚“ã®æ‹äºº] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) too cute to be true... | Mother and Lover [マザー&ラヴァー] Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched) the way the 2 leads got together is alittle unbelievable & too abrupt. cant really sense the "mummy's boy" factor in the male lead as well. |
Moto Kare [元カレ] Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched) not exactly excellent but still enjoyable... | Mukodono 2003 [ムコ殿2ï¼ï¼ï¼“] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) Superstars are not always so glamourous huh?! | Mukodono! [ムコ殿/女婿大人] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) a friggin funny drama |
My Boss, My Hero [マイボスマイヒãƒ] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) | My Little Chef Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched) It gets kinda boring as each episode features a certain group of people whose problems got solved just by eating the French cuisine made by Seri. alittle unrealistic. prepare lotsa tissue as u watch. not bcoz it's tear-jerking but the mouth-watering cuisines featured. | Nebaru Onna [ãã°ã‚‹å¥³] Rating: 5/10 (Bought & Watched) A very short drama that lacks climax. But it made me wanna try out how natto tastes like. Hahaha! |
Nemureru mori [çœ ã‚Œã‚‹æ£®] Rating: 5/10 (Watched) rather slow moving...ZzzZzzz | Ningen no Shoumei [人間ã®è¨¼æ˜Ž] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) This drama really stands out from the other crime-themed Japanese dramas. Not too sure if this is the first collaboration between Japan & US television network company, but it is indeed a very good production. The drama talks about humanity & the complicated relationship between people. How your past will haunt you & how you free yourself from within yourself. Takenouchi Yutaka's English is surprisingly good! | Nisennen no koi [二åƒå¹´ã®æ‹] Rating: 5/10 (Watched) not as good as i expected it to be. anyway, it has a lovely theme song.... |
Nobuta wo Produce [野ブタ。をプãƒãƒ‡ãƒ¥ãƒ¼ã‚¹] Rating: 4/10 (Bought & Watched) Still not knowing what the big hoo-ha is about this drama, I barely made it through the end. Yet another high-school themed drama with love, friendship, jealousy all rolled into one. Kinda passe isn't it? Sorry to say but this is one of the worst drama I've watched. Spastic characters, weak story plot. It must have been those pretty boys again. | Nodame Cantabile [ã®ã ã‚ カンタビ−レ] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) | Ns' Aoi [Ns’ ã‚ãŠã„ ] Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched) Maybe I've watched too many Jdoramas with the hospital theme, this one has got no surprises at all. Not as realistic as Kyumei Byoto nor as dramatic as Shiroi Kyoto. A pleasant watch still. |
Nyokei Kazoku [女系家æ—] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) This drama took my breathe away. Though many may think the whole drama's just dwelling upon one theme - the will left behind by the late father, I think it brought out all that bitterness, selfishness & evil that live in everyone. Like Yonekura Ryoko's strong character in the show. She really shone. Money is not the root of all evil, human beings are. | Okusama wa Majo [奥ã•ã¾ã¯é”女] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) thumbs-up! excellent plot with outstanding characters. especially love Arisa, Daria & Suzuki. Of coz there is the ever-screaming neighbour & cute aunt sakura...love this drama for its unique plot... | Orange Days [オレンジデイズ] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Not as good as I expected but it's a nice & freshing youth drama... |

Pride [プライド] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) Interesting relationship between Kimura Takuya and Takeuchi Yuko. Although it's expected that they'll end up together for sure. Love the way Kimura says "Maybe?" Drop-dead gorgeous! I love the theme song too! | Primadam [プリマダム] (Bought & Watched) | Proposal Daisakusen [プãƒãƒãƒ¼ã‚ºå¤§ä½œæˆ¦] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) |
Rikon Bengoshi Season 2 [離婚å¼è·å£«II〜ãƒãƒ³ã‚µãƒ ウーマン〜] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) I was so wrong to think Rikon Bengoshi II is one of those heavy-themed & slow-paced drama. It's entirely the opposite! This drama is so funny! Unexpectedly funny. Especially love the gangster restaurant owner. Takako sensei herself is a funny character too. Her cold & strong exterior vs her funny antics at certain scenes. I love her to bits! | Rookie! Rating: 6/10 (Bought & Watched) silly cop always gets things right at the end of the day.... | Ruri no shima [ç‘ ç’ƒã®å³¶] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) Simple story about a small & simple-minded island & its people, yet full of complicated struggles in life. Never knew such problems exist in a wealthy country like Japan (well, maybe it's fictional to a certain extent). A nice look into island life & not forgetting the beautiful sea & back to basics lifestyle. |
Sapuri [サプリ] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) | Seikei Bijin [整形美人。] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) the show that got me noticing Yonekura Ryoko. one of the best dramas i've watched. it's funny, it's touching, it's realistic. somehow. | Sekai no chuushin de, ai wo sakebu [世界ã®ä¸å¿ƒã§ã€æ„›ã‚’ã•ã‘ã¶] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) simply too touching & beautiful. liked the way the drama flashes to & fro to the past & present. not to mention the gallons of tears i shed.... |
Shiawase ni Naritai [幸ã›ã«ãªã‚ŠãŸã„] Rating: 5/10 (Bought & Watched) A rather bland drama with no surprises. A typical act-cute role by Fukada Kyoko, not much of acting skills performed by her. A nice look into Japan's TV production system, and how as usual, woman over the age of 30, unmarried, suffers as they become chess of male bosses who're obviously more useless. Unless you're a Fudaka Kyoko fan, this drama can be missed. | Shiroi Kyoto [白ã„巨塔] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) outstanding plot with excellent performance by the actors/actresses. but i sure hope the medical sector is not as horrible & corrupted as depicted in the drama. | Shomuni [ショムニ] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) The drama fully depicts the sorrow of working in a big organisation. Very witty storyline. |
Shomuni Season 2 [ショムニ 2] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) | Slow Dance [スãƒãƒ¼ãƒ€ãƒ³ã‚¹] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) OMG! I simply love this drama! Another than drooling over dear Satoshi, I like this drama for its simple yet rich plot. It brought out the complications of love between a man & a woman & the subtle relationships between the characters in the drama. Taking things slowly will somehow let you see the beauty you've once missed & a second look at things which you once thought were right. Its OST is not to be missed as well. | Sore wa, Totsuzen, Arashi no you ni... [ãれã¯ã€çªç„¶ã€åµã®ã‚ˆã†ã«â€¦] Rating: 6/10 (Bought & Watched) kinda disappointed in Esumi Makiko's performance. It's one of those typical forbidden love again... |
Stand UP!! Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) A daring attempt to depict sex thoughts & sex talk in teenagers in Japan. A funny & witty drama | Taiyou no uta [タイヨã®ã†ãŸ] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) | Tatta Hitotsu no Koi [ãŸã£ãŸã²ã¨ã¤ã®æ‹] Rating: 6/10 (Bought & Watched) |
Tiger & Dragon [タイガー&ドラゴン] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) | Tokyo Tower ~Okan to Boku to, tokidoki, Oton [æ±äº¬ã‚¿ãƒ¯ãƒ¼2007] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) | Top Caster [トップã‚ャスタ] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) |
Toubousha [逃亡者] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) Japanese thriller/suspense dramas never fail to surprise me. Yet another crime thriller that left me sitting on the edge of the seat. My only disappointment was the complicated ending. Somehow, it's not convincing enough. The twists & surprises in the plot were very, very, very well done. | Umizaru [海猿] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) I was still contemplating if I should watch this drama. Since I watched the movie already, I thought it would be a rather similar plot. When I finally finished the series, I'm glad I didn't miss this good drama. It brought out the strong bonding between the umizarus, their struggles with family life & their spouse. The sacrifices they make, and the earning of understanding from the people around them. I was quite put off by the not-here-not-there relationship Daisuke & Kanna had though. And this drama has got hell alot of butt scenes. Hahahaha! | Unfair [アンフェア] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) This drama I've been waiting for lives up to my expectations! In fact, it went beyond! Excellent plot with a totally unexpected ending. Superb acting by Shinohara Ryoko. Japan crime thrillers never ever fail me! This is a must-watch. Thumbs-up! <3 |
Utsukushii hito [美ã—ã„人] Rating: 4/10 (Watched) sophisicated drama. too difficult to understand... | Virgin Road [ãƒãƒ¼ã‚¸ãƒ³ãƒãƒ¼ãƒ‰] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) | Visual Battle 1 Rating: 7/10 (Watched) very similar to Shomuni. |
Watashitachi no kyokasho [ã‚ãŸã—ãŸã¡ã®æ•™ç§‘書] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) | Wedding Planner [ウエディングプランナー] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) I cried just after watching the 1st episode. Weddings, the sweet sorrow behind it will always end beautifully.... | Yama Onna Kabe Onna [å±±ãŠã‚“ãªå£ãŠã‚“ãª] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) |
Yamato Nadeshiko [ã‚„ã¾ã¨ãªã§ã—ã“ã€å¤§å’Œæ’«å】] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) rather slow moving plot... | Yume de Aimashou [夢ã§é€¢ã„ã¾ã—ょã†] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) This drama's story plot only deserves 5 points. A very typical story about a stubborn dad who refuses to let his daughter get married until he thinks it's the right time for her to do so. Especially like the way Nagatsuka Kyozo (Akiko's dad) shouts at his subordinates. He's fierce in a cute manner. Not much of a performance by Oshio Manabu. Akiko & Oshio don't behave like a couple who're about to get married. I think Akiko's love for her father is stronger than that of to Oshio's. Since the plot only got 5 points, the remaining 5 points that gave this drama full marks is of course, kawaii Akiko-chan! She looks extremely cute in her nurse uniform. This drama's highly recommended for Akiko fans! | |
