yea shibasaki kou made the movie much more interesting, although shes a 'new' character........but i like the drama more than the movie, maybe because the way they filmed it.....im more into japanese drama than japanese movie.
Especially the theme song katachiaru mono by shibasaki kou, everytime i heard it it makes me wanna cry.... Puppy Dog Eyes and i started to remember those scenes in the drama....Cry
Hitomi o tojite by hirai ken also very nice too.......but for me it just a song.....i cannot relate much with the movie......
Well if u really like the drama, u should watch the movie, and maybe read the novel too...(im planning to do so hehe )

I have the English subs for this movie in 2 parts though, so I can't help you.

Have you checked Kloofy.net yet?? They should have it there.
