Shotgun marriage? What is that?
In Hirosue's case it was like this: she was dating this guy (never manage to remember his name), then got knocked up, and then she made the accouncement that she would marry and that she's pregnant. Classic shotgun marriage.
Her dad would be standing behind her future husband with a shotgun, making sure he would say "yes" during the ceremony, so that the pregnant girl gets married.
But anyway...
What Kuriyama needs is a Taiga.
I'm glad and happy that Aki is in Fuurinkazan. Kuriyama needs one as well. Or a movie like Dororo. Then maybe people will stop always bringing up that extremely stupid Kill Bill or that really horrible Azumi 2. _________________

So that's what a shotgun marriage is. Interesting.
Why aren't any other of Chiaki's dramas on her list? She's done more than two. Most of her works in 2006 was t.v.
Azumi 2? I almost forgot she was in that. Yeah, I didn't like it either. Liked her in Yokai Daisenso though. She looked good in that movie. Even if she did have crazy, white beehive hair and no eyebrows.
Is Dororo any good? I like the Satoshi Tsumabuki and Kou Shibasaki, but the movie just doesn't appeal to me.

Kill Bill's Chiaki Kuriyama to Feature in New PS3 Yakuza Game
Actress lends voice and likeness for new heroine role.
September 10, 2010
by IGN Staff
Kill Bill's Chiaki Kuriyama last made headlines in the gaming world as she starred in commercials promoting the Japanese Xbox 360 version of Resident Evil 5. (We're not making this up!)
Her next game-related gig is just a bit more substantial. Sega unveiled the cast of its new PlayStation 3 Yakuza game today, and Chiaki is serving as the heroine!
This is the Yakuza game that Sega Japan has been teasing for over half a year now. It's the game that follows part 4 (the PSP game, due for Japanese release later this month, is a spinoff). Sega recently gave the game a final Japanese name: Ryu ga Gotoku: Of The End. (Ryu ga Gotoku is what the series is called over there).
Chiaki will portray heroine Misuzu Asaki.
Here's a look at Chiaki in the recording studio and Misuzu in the game:
Look similar? There's a good reason for that. Just like it did for Yakuza 4, Sega is using 3D scanning technology to map the voice actors to the in-game characters.
The Misuzu screenshot actually represents our first in-game look at Of the End. Sega also provided screens showing Tetsuo Nikaido, Tomoaki Nagahama, DD, Oya-san and Daigo Dojima. Except for Daigo, these are all new characters. Daigo has been in the series since Yakuza 2.
Strangely, Sega has yet to share screenshots of the game's playable cast, which includes Goro Majima, Kiryu Kazuma, Shun Akiyama and Ryuji Goda.
Sega also hasn't shared gameplay or story details. But there should be an information flood next week at the Tokyo Game Show, where the game is expected to see its full debut.

I guess nobody told Chiaki that the show business term "Break a leg" is just a figure of speech:
Chiaki Kuriyama fractures right leg
Actress Kuriyama Chiaki has been hospitalized due to a compound fracture in her right shin bone.
According to her agency, Kuriyama slipped and fell on a wet road after a work meeting on the night of August 5. Chiaki Kuriyama to star in TV Asahi 2016 Spring drama
Kuriyama Chiaki and Ichihara Hayato will be starring in the upcoming TV Asahi Spring 2016 drama "Fukigen na Kajitsu" (The Fruit of Displeasure) which will begin its run from April in the Fridays 11.15pm timeslot. The drama which is based on Hayashi Mariko's sensational novel published 20 years ago, was made into a drama the following year and a movie version was also produced later. At the time of the novel's release in 1996, it raised eyebrows for its caption of the heroine asking why she was so happy to have sex with another man other than her husband. Since then, the social and employment environment for women has changed a lot thus affecting values towards love as well.
Kuriyama plays the role of a 32-year-old woman named Mizugoshi Mayako who has been married for 5 years and is frustrated with her husband for giving her the cold shoulder. While craving for attention from other men in a bid to break out from her boring life, Mayako meets a passionate music critic Kudo Michihiko who pursues her relentlessly despite her being married thus leading to Mayako sinking deeper into the forbidden relationship,
As this is the first time that Kuriyama is acting in a romance drama like this, she hopes to show a different side of herself to viewers. In the original novel, Mayako was somewhat calculating thus making her disliked by others but the 2016 version will show how she desires pure happiness and her struggle to get out of her unsatisfactory married life. On the other hand, Ichihara who has always been known for being passionate in his acting, commented that it's a totally different thing to be so devoted to a woman when he hardly had any opportunities to date someone like that in the past. As such, he is also eagerly anticipating how things will turn out for him in this drama.
