hey... does anyone know what a visual-kei band is? according to http://www.nippop.com the band vehemently objects to being tagged with the visual-kei label, so much so that they once walked off the stage during a TV broadcast when the MC had the temerity to use the dreaded “V” word when introducing L’Arc-en-Ciel. The band’s management also demands apologies from journalists who dare to describe L’Arc-en-Ciel as visual-kei.

so what is a visual-kei band??
Cut and pasted parts of this definition from the Wikipedia website. I don't know what visual-kei is either so I don't know if this is a good/correct definition or not, but here it is:
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
"Visual Kei (BWAn, lit. "visual type") is a term usually related to Japanese rock music, referring to bands whose primary point of interest for their fans is their costume and appearance."
"Members of Visual Kei bands often wear striking makeup, style their hair in dramatic shapes, reminiscent of "hair bands" from the '80s, and wear elaborate costumes. Although the vast majority of the musicians are male, they often wear makeup and clothing which would be considered "feminine". "
"Visual Kei, being based upon visual style, is therefore a genre of band but not a specific type of music."
matsu: i was wondering if there was a way to get the music from the live onto a .mp3. someone on the forum i think it was Blade ^_^ put up a file of lover boy from the smile tour. i was wondering if one could do that for all the songs.

Oh! Ok, I know what you mean...I know there is way to do it, but unfortunately, I do not have a program that can rip the audio off of a DVD. Sorry!

Did you ensure that the file was completely downloaded? YSI files, especially large ones are prone to being cut off halfway even though it says "Download Complete". You can still play the file most of the time but once it reaches the point where it got cut off, it gets into trouble. Other than that, I am not sure what else could have caused the problems.

hallooo all, this is my first post here
Actually I have a question that's on my mind for quite a long time.. erm what is punk-en-ciel ?Are they another side of laruku or what ?? I'm confused  :bonk: :bonk:
That was the first question I asked here too! Well... for what everybody told me, PUNK-EN-CIEL is when the guys change positions in the band (Ken=drums, Yuki=bass, Tetsu=vocals, Hyde=guitar) and play laurku's songs but with a different style. _________________

P'UNK-EN-CIEL is Tetsu doing vocals, Hyde on guitar, Yukihiro on Bass, and Ken on drums. They do more hard rock versions of their older songs, and have released these songs on their last 5 singles (counting the one that is being released today).
Welcome to the thread
EDIT: OOps, how did I not see that you had already answered this almost an hour ago? I guess I didn't reload the page for a while.
