HI everyone...my friend recommand this dorama and now I addicted to it...I so in love with Jun and Mao I think they make the cutest couple....they're just adorable together...anyway I'm a little slow so what does HYD mean...literally does it mean Flower over Boy or Meteror Garden?... Yeah I'm totally lost

hehehe well hana yori dango is supposed to mean boys over flowers, but its actually a play on words... actually i THINK that "hana yori dango" is a japanese saying that literally means 'dumplings over flowers'- basically meaning that necessary things (food) are more important that luxurious things (flowers)...
but kamio yoko made a play on words because "dango" is another way to read the kanji for "boy"... so yep, boys over flowers ^^
i have no idea why meteor garden is called meteor garden tho, to tell the truth _________________

Omg!!!!! I love this drama alot . I just finish watch in 2 day ago love it. Even better than the MG i mean 1,000 or million x time better coz the cast r cute and young not old like the MG. When u watch MG is got me very boring but when i watch the HYD is got me VERY INTO the drama. Maybe bcoz of the cast they look more like the anime and is japan ppl who did and they young match cute and they know how to act like the anime. Love it i think is sure beat the MG. Mg cannot beat HYD coz is the oringanl ppl did and they BETTER!!!!!!

I've finally finished with all my exams for the moment. So now I can sink myself back here...ok, that sounds kinda wierd ne? lol.
Anyway, I just noticed that the Jun thread has been locked...
@ *gi-gi* - HYD has only got 9 episodes sadly.
And here are the dramas with Jun in that I've seen: Kimi wa Petto, Gokusen, Tokyo Tower (well, it's a film really), Propose (He's only in the first episode) and Files of Young Kindaichi (this is one of my personal favourites ^^) ~ but I'd recommened all of them.
Offcourse, there are quite a few that he's in which I haven't seen yet though.

If Gracie doesn't mind, I'll answer your questions.
1. True. It's already over.
2. Other Jun dramas. Gracie would say 1. Gokusen (where she fell in love with him), 2. Kimi wa Petto 3. Kindaichi Shounen Jikembo. Unlike his other counterparts (think Yamapi), he's not that active in doramas. Although, he was a host of the now-defunct Minna no Terebi (transformed to a show whose name I forgot).. That aside from Arashi activities
3. there are 9 in total, i don't know how many pre and post specials this show had..

hehehe i agree with ayumi and littlemissfab's suggestions...
i would first and foremost recommend gokusen- hes not as big a character but i fell for him in there......... but then not far after gokusen i would DEFINITELY recommend kimi wa petto, omg he's so adorable... i want him as MY pet... funny thing is that in all of his roles, he plays SUCH different characters and yet portrays them all very very very VERY convincingly...... i would also recommend the others ayumi brought up... kindaichi3 (young jun!! and he's sooo cute... i also love suzuki anne so its great) propose episode 1, and tokyo tower (movie)...
so i guess depending on which role u wanna see him in... as a brooding schoolboy & leader of the bad boys in class 3-D in gokusen, a cute adorable loveable "pet" who loves to dance in kimi wa petto, a young detective in kindaichi... a very bad bad boy who goes for older women in tokyo tower (much more sexual haha than the others... btw he has this WALK that makes me wanna faint in his first scene in it)... a young firefighter who falls for an older woman with a kid in propose...
personally i'd recommend gokusen or kimi wa petto next, they're my next favorite roles after domyouji (actually dom and sawada in gokusen may be tied... ) but all in all i'd recommend all of them!!
and check him out as an adorable singer and member of Arashi too ^^ _________________
