is anyone having a hard time trying to get the song taiyou no uta out of their heads? because it's been a week for me since i finished the drama and I still can't get that ridiculously addicting tune out of my head lol! Well I guess Erika's voice is just too addictin...I can't get enuff of that song
lol same here, i've finish watching this dorama for i guess few months already, and yet i keep playing taiyou no uta and stay with me over and over on my ipod :| cant get her voice out off my head =|

Anyway, in case you didn't know, she entered the music industry using the name "Kaoru Amane", the character she played in Taiyou No Uta (The TV Series). This is perhaps, a marketing strategy of the producers, releasing a cd as a tie-in for the show. Well let's just say that the "strategy" worked:
The character of �eKaoru Amane�f, is that of an aspiring singer and as a side project for this dorama, Erika has released a single with Kaoru�fs fictional compositions.
Sony created a special website, dedicated only to Kaoru Amane. It was specially constructed, as if Kaoru was a real artist, making her debut. The content on this website was quite detailed, with a gorgeous layout, a photo gallery and extra goodies, such as guitar tabs for her songs. These guitar tabs can be downloaded for free for any guitar players. Seems that the original intention was simply to bring the dorama to life and thus gaining a bigger audience. Nonetheless it seems the opposite results happened. This single sold extremely well and gained a huge fanbase.
Overall it sold 339,936 copies and the sales show no signs of slowing down. Up till the present date, after four weeks, this single has been securing a very high position and keeps on conquering the top spots, beating many strong competitors. She is also the first actress-turned-singer to enter the ORICON Top 3 since Hirosue Ryoko in April 1997 and the first female singer releasing under a fictional name from a drama to enter Top 3 since September 2000�fs Kanno Miho. She also ranks second among the female artists who released a single so far in 2006.

Hmmm just a advice
before you made the order , I guess you will need to check with the seller if the ver is japan limited ver or Taiwan ver , he stated it`s release by SONYBMG Tawian which should be the Taiwan ver
( It will made a difference if you are searching for the japan limited ver)

haha i was afraid you were gonna kill me there! Yui Aragaki is actually the close second. My aya ueto is number 7 =[ I hope you'll learn to like Erika Toda some day as well! thanks for the compliments
maki is the girl to the left of Yui and i think she's the one that beat Sawajiri in 3rd place

Whoa, so many rising stars huh, can't believe they beat Aya Ueto too.
I've actually just started expanding on the world of jdoramas. I just finished Hana Yori Dango, and I must say I'm a fond of Mao Inoue too. I'm sure Erika Toda will get her turn sometime.
And I actually think this is a great idea, so that my craziness and addiction for Erika Sawajiri will lower down a bit.
