A very cool looking movie called "Appleseed" is coming out in April in JPN.
Click on the pic for preview.
I saw that a little while back and was impressed at how it looks. It's like a mix of different styles into one. It doesn't really look like it reflects Shirow's style, but I'll judge that after I get to see the movie!
I'm currently watching Someday's Dreamers, also known as Mahoutsukai ni Taisetsu na Koto. It's amazing so far.

Azumanga Daioh, Clamp quality anime , is up there with I, My, Me, Strawberry Eggs... if anyone has gotten them off KLite.
azumanga & strawberry eggs, got them off kazaa long time ago. They're also in edonkey. azumanga is definitely one of the best comedy series i've seen. _________________

I've been watching Junni Kokki this week. Just need to finish downloading the last arc. This series is really confusing at first, and slow during some parts, but the third arc makes up for everything. Wow, it was just amazing.
And Azumanga rocks. One of my all-time favorite series.
The only way to describe the brilliance that is Azumanga is this:

My favorite is Tenchi Muyo show. I don't know how many times I have watched each version of the show and I still laugh and smile. Miyazaki is the master of the Anime movie though. I am astonished when I watch his amazing movies.
Tenchi Muyo(all series)
Most Miyazaki flicks (Nausicaa being the best)
Berserk
Initial D
Saikano
Voices of a Distant Star
Cowboy Bebop
EVA
Trigun
Akira

If you really liked the GTO premise, you might wanna try Salaryman Kintaro. Its kinda like GTO in a workplace setting instead of a school. Not nearly as good as GTO, but still entertaining.
Ultimately, it really depends on what kind of genre you like.

so what is new of that kind of style/genre?
i dont like the kid ninja one - or hack.sign type
more like a modern day azumanga, tenchi, yadayada...
cant really think of an anime that's similar to azumanga, but tenchi gxp and the new tenchi ova3 is good.
you might want to try hand maid may if u havent already or nanaka 6/17. I assume you've already watched the big names though like ai yori aoshi, love hina, gto, dna^2, video girl ai, ah my goddess, and maison ikkoku. _________________
