it's not really my stuff so it's not in my list . Keps, have you heard Foxxi MisQ's GLOSS album??? man i just LOVE that album!
this is really really different from other japanese singers... coz it doesn't sound japanese at all! and if you actually listen to the album in order, you realize that some songs are actually connected to each other.
they're juicy.
Gonna check out some Foxxi MisQ on YouTube as soon as my connection speed improves. Right now, it's so slow that I cannot watch YouTube stuff.
Hopefully gonna be back at full speed in the next day or so - so I'll definitely check her out then, Monta.
@ shiroi_tora - I've got some suggestions if you wanna rock.
Here are some links to videos - although I know and love all the songs, I don't know what the videos are like (due to problem mentioned above).

Hi jgalela, I don't know if you mean stuff with piano or orchestra, but if you do, here's some stuff to download (or you can just listen to it) -

I finally got a better listen to UA's Golden green album and really enjoyed it more than the last few odd-sounding albums that she released.
I can't really pick a favorite song, but if I had to choose one significant one, it would have to be (NOREN NOREN/Haiiro Shita Saru no Yume). Such a cute song about a dream of a gray monkey. I also liked UA's rendition of Natalie Merchant's San Andreas Fault. Though her English isn't perfect, it's still better than some other artists' pronunciations. The rest of the songs are great, though I'm not too fond of Panacea.
Out of all the albums I heard of UA's, I think that this is probably the most solid one. With the other albums, there were a few misses (aka weird, offbeat songs), so it didn't flow well to me. This album was well done. 9/10 _________________

Ooh Cori, I thought NOREN NOREN... was one of Golden Green's weakest tracks.
I didn't know San Andreas Fault was a Natalie Merchant song. Now I do, I'll have to include UA's version on a compilation cd for a friend of who is a Natalie fan.
I'm not familar with many of UA's albums - so far I've only heard Golden, Breathe and Ametora.
But so far, I think I like Ametora the best overall.

I like NOREN NOREN for the cute lyrics. If I had to go with overall song, it would have to be one of the singles or another song (can't remember the title atm) And yeah you should add the SAF song to the compilation.
And as for UA albums, I haven't listened to them all, but I do like Ametora a lot too (Love that "Amefuri Hiyadesu" song as it reminds me of one of the old school Dr. Mario themes ). 11 is another good one, some of the songs more on the mellow R&B side. Turbo was pretty solid as well; kind of venturing into the tropical sound. But you should also try the Illuminate (best of) album which is a 2 disc album. There was a weird album that I really don't recommend (I can't remember if it was Sun or Breathe). _________________

Only a sample, but it's sounding good. Classic Brilliant Green, imo.
I've got two of their four albums, and I intend on getting my hands on the other two.
The Green are consistently fabulous, as far as I can tell. I'm so glad for Last.fm, which is where I heard about them.
@ Cori - I appreciate your opinions. Oh, I like the sound of the best of - Illuminate. Sounds like a good album for me to go with next.
I found Breathe to be a bit weird too - it's definitely less accessible than Ametora. But Breathe still had its moments.

I just listened to some of foxxi misQ - and I'm not a fan.
Oh. My. Goodness. Has anyone here heard Kana? Or - gulp! - is a fan?
I found this on a link on Last.fm. At first, I thought, ooh, nice guitars. But then THAT VOICE kicked in. And it does feel like being kicked, listening to THAT. Here it is -
okay, hikkie sent me Music Station today and there was the one with UA in it.
not a fan . yeah, her stuff is dreamy. i don't really like her low voice. and she's not cute either , although that doesn't really matter. _________________

You're sooo looks oriented! (j/k)
I know what you mean about UA not being "cute", but I think she has a good strong look, and can look fabulous.
