of course I could! But I figured it'd be healthier for my psyche if I took a 'short vacation' from her

I recommend that you guys watch the film Sidecar ni Inu (Dog in a Sidecar) if you like Yuko Takeuchi and want to see act in a different role.

I know, but she's like a chemical dependency and I'm in a weakened state - I have to do my best to keep a 'healthy balance'. Beaten

I'll get 'er though.. to save in my Yuko-for-later sack ashamed

Here's what I've got:

A Million Stars Fall From the Sky
Beach Boys
Daisuki
Good Luck
Hana Yori Dango
Love Generation
Mukodono
Overtime
Proposal Daisakusen
Summer Snow
Tiger & Dragon

Hmm... let's see. I haven't seen Daisuki, but I've seen all the others.

- Beach Boys is a good drama revolving around camaraderie. Excellent character development.

- Tiger & Dragon is one of my favourite dramas. Gangster drama, but excellent.

The Romances:
- Good Luck was just okay. Cast was excellent, plot was lacking.

- I really enjoyed Hana Yori Dango. It's a school drama, but doesn't deal with the teacher-student dynamic. I must warn you, we're talking about a cast filled with girly-boys in tight pants.

- Love Generation is one of the most romantic dramas I've seen. Great story and great characters. It's no Pride, tho. Wink

- Mukodono. Yuko is absolutely KAWAII in this drama, and of course my main man is in it. The drama gets annoying sometimes. It's worth it if you're a Yuko fan, which you are. Wink

- Over Time. I LUFFED this drama! A lot of people didn't like the ending, but I thought it was most fitting.

- Proposal Daisakusen? STAY CLEAR. I thought it was SO boring. It got good near the end and SP wasn't bad. But really. Not worth the time.

- Summer Snow is the only Ryoko H. drama I really enjoyed. A very touching story with some great characters.

Over all, I would recommend Over Time if you're looking for all the good stuff, or Tiger & Dragon if you're looking for great comedy and fun.

You would probably be better posting your question in the Recommendations thread anyhow, to avoid the wrath of the b-man Wink

Sweet! Detailed analysis. I will further consult the tea leaves.

Understood. When you're ready to watch it, at least it's a film so you can enjoy her performance without committing to a 10 or 12 episode drama.

Hehe.. I figured it was worth the wrath. Each other time I've finished a drama, I've requested new ones here.. because I post it in conjunction with flaunting my completion.

I did it this time because I didn't want to confuse anyone who was expecting it w00t!

I left Trelauney back in California, so even if I did, I'd just think it was funny.

You're welcome. Enjoy the film (and the website). Smile

I'm sure you'll find quite a few films of interest...now and in the future.

Back on topic...I'm almost finished watching Sasaki Fusai no Jingi Naki Tatakai...it's okay...Goro and Koyuki are an interesting onscreen pair. I really haven't seen much else of Goro's work so it's hard to size it up relative to some of his other performances.

Funny that it has the woman who played Mohko in Kisarazu Cat's Eye. Btw way I finished watching Kisarazu Cat's Eye World Series...if you liked the drama, and Kudo Kankuro's work in general, you will find this film a hilarious and fitting end to the story of Bussan, Master, Ani, Bambi, and Ucchie...it had me laughing out loud quite a bit.

Cats! Nyah! Cats! Nyah.....

Yeah but it's supposed to be stupid...that's why it works so well...these characters aren't supposed to be the typical pretty boy cool cats...it's about a bunch of guys who like to drink beer, play baseball, and act like fools. The guy on the far right, Master, takes the cake with his blow out afro...his character is friekin' funny.
