Cripes! That's pretty great, man . . . CONGRATULATIONS! The Man, himself, went through a U.S. gov'ment internship; was quite fascinating. Career-builder, too.

The Man will . . . be outside during the summer.

This is gonna be so cool! Although I might have to cancel my trip to Japan and HK this summer since there is only a week after my school ends and when the internship is going to start I also got summer school with linear algebra but that shouldn't be too bad. So how's life for the rest of you? |

 Omedetou gozaimasu! Ganbatte kudasai!

I don't know if this counts as summer, but I will be going on a 2 week vacation to Japan w/my younger sister (1 week in Osaka and 1 week in Tokyo) at the end of May.

During the summer, I usually take advantage of the "twilight" specials, which normally start at 3:00pm. All the holes you can play for about $17.00. The cool thing about the summer period is that sundown is just a little after 7:00pm, so that gives me a good four hours to play 18 holes. During other times of the year, I end up playing the 18th with less than 10-percent light (and actually dropped one in the hole from about 150 yards in pitch darkness). |
Didja see that 60 Minutes story on Michelle Wie? Pretty amazing. Thing is, will she burn out before her 20th birthday?

Hehehe... We all know what Michelle will be doing for her summer vacation: golf, along with summer classes -- probably correspondence-based. Supposedly she's taking a lot of AP classes, including AP calculus and even Chinese (she's 100-percent Korean, though her mom insists she learns Chinese). She's supposed to be visiting David Leadbetter, her swing coach, at his facilities in California and Florida. With all that, she'll probably end up graduating from Punahou School about a year or so earlier.

The thing that Michelle has in common with Tiger is that everything that she's doing is her idea. Matter of fact, if her parents had it their way, she'd be staying home and competing locally. So that gives me confidence that burn-out probably won't occur. There's just too many factors that will help her keep going... unless of course she starts getting the "shanks"!!!! LOL!!!!

 o(^_-)O

 i WANT TO GO!!!!
i always have a thing for space. and i love astronomy! i REALLY wanted to major this in Uni but my parents are strongly against it. after some close thought, i realise i cannot take this field too...
please do tell us what's your experience there k!!

what will i do during my summer? more of like my winter! [it's winter in melbourne!] but during winter i'll just go back to my home country, malaysia. hence back to what will i do during my summer question again. malaysia after all experience summer through the year. hehe.

i'll go back to my home country and play lots of warhammer40K and get tonnes of J-drama back home [i heard they have new titles! yay!] and go out with my old friends, some who i stupidly enough did not meet up during the previous holidays....

and a month later, i'm i'll be back in melbourne to start Semester 2 of my Uni = more assignments.
