There were lots of emotions running through me while i was watching mr brain episode 6. Name it and you have it.
Happiness
fear
anger
and finally anguish and regret. :/
For one thing, this episode totally kept me on my seat for the whole of 50 mins. When she first appeared in the massive shooting for the school reunion, I am absolutely terrified of the ruthlessness in her eyes when she started firing the gun at her ex classmates. There was adrenaline and tension that will definitely force your butt to stick to the seat and eyes in front of the computer/tv. Though.....the music that they played at that scene was kinda cliche. X)
Nakama was able to portray the three roles perfectly, as murderous shuusuke, big eater shouko and of course the vulnerable kanako. For now, i think no one is able to play Akiyoshi Kanako as well as her. The behind the scene report on the mr brain tbs website was that the crew really got to see THE@ACTRESS nakama yukie in action. The commments of the view on this episode were also talking about nakama's ability to portray the characters beautifully within a short span of time.
After hearing the plight of kanako, I felt an intense anger and sympathy for this girl that was trapped for 15 years.
The teacher who didnt believe in her story that she was being stalked.
Those narcissistic and annoying classmates that taunted her and refuse to go home with her.
All the false acting infront of the camera when something happened to Kanako.
Poor Kanako,
if you all had believed in her in the first place, this wouldnt have happened at all would it? Who knows, she might be leading a happy life right now?
I guess the most exciting thing for this episode would be the fact that we were able to see Nakama stepping and attacking kimura takuya. X) It was sudden and swift and my goodness, it scared the hell out of me, course it really looks like it hurts! Being a fan of them both, i have no idea what to say about the two scenes. I just want to see the making of this episode. Should be pretty interesting, especially the hospital scenes. Her interactions with kimura increased a lot and i thoroughly enjoyed their scene together, whether she is kanako or shuusuke. please let them act in more shows together. Those were great scenes. plus the final moments were pretty unexpected. And there we people thanking tbs for inviting nakama to guest star opposite kimura.
Shall not dwell into the contents of the show, cause it is really rather complicated. But at the end of the show, it was for the first time in Mr brain that i see hesitation in both Tsukumo-san and the other police when they are forced to capture Akiyoshi Kanako. The handcuffing scene when they were unwilling to place the cuffs on her. The scene when Tsukumo-san was practically grinding his two hands together when Akiyoshi Kanako admitted to the crime and surrendered herself with a simple "Dozo". And the last scene of her looking up at the sky when she finally managed to get out from the basement and look at the sky for the first time in 15 years.
oh nightvisiongoggles, could you mail me the password in private for the fanshared site? so that i can upload stuff too X) _________________
I saw the Mr. Brain episode too... (my Japanese is not that good yet, though)
I guess you've said everything I could've said!
Yukie Nakama is really a gifted actress... only a few actresses can pull that off convincingly! She was really scary with the gun, and there were instances where you can sense a different person inside her... somewhat like heath ledger as the joker... scary.
Excellent acting, indeed!

"Gokusen" movie earns half a billion in opening weekend
Mon, July 13, 2009 (11:08am EDT)
The highly anticipated "Gokusen: The Movie" opened on 409 screens in Japan this past weekend. On Saturday and Sunday, more than 402,000 fans saw the film in theaters, earning "Gokusen" close to 490 million yen.
According to a statement by distributor Toho on Monday, the movie is projected to gross more than 4 billion yen by the end of its run.
In comparison, the "ROOKIES" movie opened several weeks ago on 428 screens, and it earned over 1.2 billion yen in its first two days.
CONGRATULATIONS!
--Although some people say it's much lower than other drama-to-film movies, I think it's pretty good considering that the series has been rehashed over and over again.--
--Now that Gokusen is over, we're looking forward to her next project!-- _________________
Hm, i really don't care about the movie. I care more about her promotions in varieties more than the movie itself. Tomorrow is GUru 99. Seems like she is having a lot of fun in that show. Okamura is a huge fan of hers.
it is pretty good already. I am satisfied with that result. It is first in the box office now. But Harry potter will surely beat it to second place. so the box office position is not really important either. Whatever it is, it is a nice ending to Gokusen. FINALLY.
If ueto and kame wants to pick up a gokusen 4, let them.
It was rumored that she will be one of the 4 ladies in the tsubaki movie. FLOWERS though it is still a rumour.
She will be acting in a movie that will be showing next year and it is set in the 1930s-1940s period. YAY _________________
especially the mr-brain reunion shooting spree scene, where she looks like a real trigger-happy devil...
i can't post it here though, the image links are different.

Yukie Nakama "Untouchable"
Tue, August 11, 2009 (1:53am EDT)
With her "Gokusen" days apparently behind her, actress Yukie Nakama (29) will tackle her next comedy role in TV Asahi's upcoming mystery series, "Untouchable." The show is an original work penned by Hiroshi Hashimoto, who has worked on "Karei Naru Ichizoku" and the "Shomuni" franchise.
Nakama plays the role of Ryoko Narumi, a reporter who gets dismissed from a top-notch magazine and winds up at a third-rate weekly. Clumsy yet persistent, she notices details that other reporters overlook, leading her to the "untouchable" sides of criminal cases and, ultimately, to the truth. The story will be episodic, but the show will also include a larger mystery that gets unveiled as the show progresses.
The supporting cast includes Jun Kaname (28) as a rival reporter, Tetsushi Tanaka (43) as Ryoko's editor-in-chief, Tomohito Sato (25) as a photographer, and Susumu Terajima (45) as a big-shot businessman. TV Asahi will begin airing the drama in October, on Fridays at 9:00pm.
I dunno about anybody else, but the first 7 words of this story made my day!!
