I think she has developed into a terrific actress, right up there with Ryoko Shinohara and Yuki Amami as the best leading actresses currently working in dorama.

Is that Miho doing that bending? I have been doing yoga for 8 years and only got to do this in my 5th years. She is so awesome. I like her. She really can act. Her latest series - Hataraki man further proves her versatile ability
Yep, that's her. She gets her body into some pretty amazing configurations in her yoga video. I wouldn't even try most of these positions without an
ambulance standing by.

Otanjobi omedetou Miho!
And while we're here, this bit of news:
Miho Kanno stars in next Daihachi Yoshida film
Sat, August 22, 2009 (12:08am EDT)
Actress Miho Kanno (32) has been given her first starring movie role since 2002. She will play the protagonist in "Permanent Nobara," directed by Daihachi Yoshida ("Funuke Domo, Kanashimi no Ai wo Misero").
In recent years, Kanno has starred in television dramas such as "Kiina" and "Hataraki Man," but her last lead role on the big screen was Takeshi Kitano's "Dolls" seven years ago.
"Permanent Nobara" is adapted from a manga by Rieko Saibara. Kanno plays a newly divorced woman who returns with her daughter to her hometown, where her mother operates a beauty salon called "Permanent Nobara." The story deals with family, friendship, and romance. Currently, Kanno is undergoing special training to learn Tosa-ben, a dialect spoken in the Kochi prefecture, where the movie takes place.
Kanno's supporting cast includes Yosuke Eguchi as her boyfriend, Eiko Koike and Chizuru Ikewaki as her classmates, Mari Natsuki as her mother, and Ryudo Uzaki as her father-in-law. Filming will start on September 2 in Saibara's hometown of Sukumo, Kochi. Theatrical release is tentatively scheduled for May 2010.

"W no Higeki" gets new drama adaptation, starring Miho Kanno
"W no Higeki," a popular suspense novel by Shizuko Natsuki, is being adapted by TBS as a drama special with actress Miho Kanno (32) in the starring role. The story has previously been adapted into two television dramas and an award-winning 1984 film, directed by Shinichiro Sawai and starring Hiroko Yakushimaru (45).
The new TBS version, handled by screenwriter Yoshikazu Okada, makes some changes to the setup, giving it a more modern feel. Kanno plays the part of temp worker Harumi Ichijo, who feels the effects of the recession when her temp agency dismisses her. She accepts an invitation to the villa of her friend Mako (Mitsuki Tanimura), but there she discovers a murder. Mako is believed to have been involved, but Harumi engages in deception in order to protect her.
Also appearing in the drama are Toru Emori, Junko Ikeuchi, Miki Maya, Hashinosuke Nakamura, Hiroki Narimiya, and Teruyuki Kagawa. TBS plans to broadcast the program on January 11
She also has a new drama coming out which I posted in the "Upcoming Dramas" thread.

Hmmm, okay, her name isn't I've thought about too much when it comes to dramas, always thought she had an interesting face, don't know how to explain it, though I mean in a good way. Unless you feel like sleeping, we won't talk about Dolls. _________________

What's weird is out of at least 2,000 pics I have stored, have zero of her....wait, maybe not. I'm back, hard to find anything out of so many, found a scan I had made of the 1st Eko movie, can be a bit gory at times but it so hard to take your eyes off the screen, for that genre it's one of the better ones. _________________
