My first time creating a new topic, spent about an hour in the search and just hope this doesnft have to be merged.
Why?
A country that produces such exquisite TV shows populated by uber-perfect people who also sing and present TV shows deserves its own thread. I have been discussing Taiwanese dramas and actors (Vic Zhou I love you) with fellow jdorama members over the years in all sort of threads. So I wanted to create one where you can recommend dramas, discuss actors and gush about singers.
How to recognize a Taiwanese drama?
- Everybody is beautiful to perfection,
- male protagonists are always over 1,80cm tall,
- the hero and the heroine always have silly inner dialogues,
- endless flashbacks, voiced over by the hero or the heroine,
- often better kissing scenes,
- idols are often a bit older than their Japanese counterparties,
- often a about a gal and a guy who canft stand each other but have to spend time together
- are faster in adapting popular mangas
- ...
Recommended dramas IMHO:
- Mars
- Black and White
- At Dolphin Bay
- Bump-off Lovers
- Waiting for you
- c

There I leave it up to you and apologise if you have to lock this.
For me Taiwanese output is often different to the mainland China productions and deserves a thread on its own. But then again, Taiwanese actors sometimes appear in HK/Mainland China shows. Dunno ...

Sounds like a gray area... I'll leave it as is, unless the other mods/Admin object.

He was real good, although too gorgeous for somebody with
.
I had to fastforward a few scences but overall it left a very good impression.

Cant gorgeous people have the same problems as ugly ones?
I really enjoyed Silence.
Right now we are into Love In the Aegean Sea which mixes Tiawanese and Korean actors. Its good. _________________

But it's really unfair that they are as hot as Vic Zhou until the bitter end.

The comments here are not encouraging. I haven't seen it though, didn't even know about the show until you mentioned it.

Thanks for the link - youLre right though, comments are not really encouraging but I thought the synoposis was a bit different from the Taiwanese classic love stories.

Some people have all the luck.
Watching Bullfighting. Hot Shots got me hooked on the basketball theme.
Loved my MVP Valentine too for that matter. _________________

I've just finished Devil Beside You. HOT HOT actors but the drama was iffy. I gave it a 6/10 and was kinda depressed about it since it was my first Tdrama. So then I jumped right into Fated to Love You and I LOVE IT! I heard rumours that it's the highest rated Tdrama of all time. If so, I believe it. |
Really? How interesting.
Ok Im sold! _________________
