Ok me and Phinn were talking about this earlier so I figured I'll make an announcement of it. Phinn has offered to buy the DVDs of Hitonatsu no Papa e to be subtitled. I don't speak any Japanese but I told him that I would be more than happy to typeset the drama, however we still need a translator. I'm just going to throw this out there to anyone who may be interested in translating this drama for us. As far as I know, this drama is not English subtitled yet and DVD rips would look great too! If anyone is interested then either PM Phinn or me about it. thanks!

I may be able to try to subtitle it... but I can't give any guarantees I'll have time or be able to do it. I have never really tried to translate much myself, so I don't know how well I could do. I'd also gladly edit or help someone else with translations If they are willing to try. I've already seen this drama, I have it on VHS. So let me know if you get any other offers.

have any watched the kou kou kyoushi from 1993? I just finished watching eps 1. if any remember, there's a fujimura sensei who said there were a biology teacher. it seems like the 2003 aya kou kou kyoushi is a continuation of the 1993 version (well, from eps 1, it seems like it). there were a fujimura sensei and a biology teacher. if anyone is interested in watching the 1993 version of kou kou kyoushi, here's the torrent link:

Koukou Kyoushi 2003 isn't a continuation in the full sense of the word. FIrst it takes place in the same school 10 years later 1993-2003. Second Fujimura Sensei is the only character on the teaching staff that is in 1993 and 2003. You get plenty of flashbacks to the horrible things he did in the 1993 drama during the 2003 drama. Third that continues is the teacher in the 2003 drama who likes Fujimura sensei is supposed to be a student who liked Fujimura when she was a HS student in the first drama, i don't think it's the same actress in her case, but I haven't tried to find out.
That's all that could be considered a continuation. All you really get from the first drama is you know Fujimura's dark past before they show you the flasbacks in the 2003 drama. The rest of the story is compeately independent of the first one.

downloaded and i must say i really enjoyed ep 1... i don't think there is any relation between KK1993 and KK2003.. the only link between kk1993 and kk2003 was only the english teacher.. and of course the theme song... _________________

well, dat's wat i mean, in terms of the story for both version of the drama, it's completely independent. as the tejima sensei, the teacher who likes fujimura, as they have explain in 2003, she was hardly noticable by fujimura, so even if she doesnt show up on 1993 version still makes sense.
