Synopsis
Ever since they moved to Eri's hometown Kohamajima, Eri and Fumiya have been running a small makeshift health center from their home. Doing so has brought Fumiya and Eri a step closer to their dream of operating a certified local clinic, and fuels Fumiya's desire to pursue further training and perfect his skills in the medical field. Determined to be certified, Fumiya confesses to Eri his plan of moving back to Tokyo to gain necessary experience. Eri, who holds Kohamajima close to her heart, hesitates with this idea at first, however agrees to move back to Tokyo with Fumiya. Upon their return to Tokyo, Eri coincidentally discovers new ambition in life; she decides to return to the nursing field and learn about home nursing.

1. Awwwww Eri, how you've grown! [Rating: 8/10]
There was no real story for Churasan 2. It just seemed to be an extension of the first season. However, for Churasan fans (like myself), the sequel was very enjoyable.

First off, I love the fact that right away the sequel delved into the family/relationship aspect of the characters. In the later Churasan episodes the dynamic between characters diminished slightly and focused only on Eri and Kazuya. With the sequel, however, they put an importance on each characterfs relation to others, which I had greatly missed and really appreciated.

Second, I was VERY pleased to see that EVERY actor/actress returned to play their roles. No character was replaced (even the smaller, less important characters returned!) and even the setting/locations remained consistent.

Third, although there was no real story, the overall storyline/plot revolving Eri and her peers progressed. We got a taste of what Eri was up to and the new additions to her life. This was great. It really makes me feel like wefre watching her grow and mature further and further in life.

The one bad point of the sequel is that it was too short (only 6 episodes!). But there is a third sequel, so I wonft fret too much. :D

2. Warm and inviting [Rating: 7/10]
Part of the appeal of the original drama was the way it made its leisurely pace through the lives and characters of an exotic Hokkaido family. Well, the characters are all back, but fitting everything into a six-part sequel involved some serious editing. Churasan 2 concentrates on the new careers of the major characters, who grow accustomed to new roles and responsibilities.

The main appeal of this series never with the slight, predictable plot, but rather with fully-fleshed out characters. Some, like Miho Konno, are left in uninteresting supporting roles; others, like Ryoko Kunnisake, has become an embodiment of the cuteness this drama aims for.

There's an old italian saying (based on a real historical anecdote) which goes like this: "Paganini non ripete" (Paganini - a very famous violinist - doesn't repeat, doesn't play an "encore"), and one of the meanings of that saying is that perfection, once attained, cannot be repeated nor copied. Perfection may happen, but you can't expect perfection to repeat itself over and over again. That's why, while thinking about how to comment on "Churasan 2", that old italian saying came to my mind: "Paganini non ripete"! The original "asadora" was pretty much perfect; there shouldn't have been any "encore". This sequel sports the same writer (although this script is surprisingly bad!) and the same cast, but the magic isn't repeated, and it ends up being nothing but a faint copy...:/

Perhaps not as funny as the original, but the feel-good factor is still there and everyone got their little bit of time in the limelight. It was short, so not very in-depth, but very enjoyable nonetheless. :) There were some really funny moments in the last couple of episodes.

The whole gang returns! Honestly, I liked this more than the original, probably because with full episodes they were able to flesh out the characters more. Very enjoyable sequel.

This sequel really lives more from the first part than being a well-told story on its own.

I was a bit dissappointed. Still fun to watch if you were a fan of "Churasan"

Not as good as the first series by any means but still enjoyable to get an update on everyone. Eri's hairstyle was not very flattering, however.

A very cute sequel to the first season. It`s a very nice progression to the story even though it was short! Definitely worth the watch!
