1. Yum-num again! [Rating: 8/10]
As expected of Kuitan!

Another great season of good food and the very delicious Higashiyama Noriyuki.

This season follows the same formula as the last season, with only slight differences. There is more of each character this time around. Ryousuke-kun is more comedic and lovable, Kyoko-chan is more charming, Igarashi is even more goofy, Momo-chan is much louder, and Kuitan is far more hungry. The stories are more varied, and there are more sentimental scenes to better balance the comedy.

There were some lame instances but these are easily overlooked because the drama holds strong as a nicely written comedy with good, solid characters. I liked how they brought back characters from the Special as well. It created a unified and logical time-span between the first season, the special, and the second season.

It would have been nice to have had a background story that tied all the episodes together, but the lack of such a story doesnft harm the enjoy-ability factor that this drama has mastered. If you enjoyed the first season, donft hesitate watching the second. Itfs equally as good.

2. Kuitan Returns! [Rating: 9/10]
As good if not better than the first series in many ways... Some of the action, particularly the gunplay, is comically lame... Not sure if it's intentional or not, but it's lame nevertheless... The first and last episodes got a little too long and drawn out with the sentimentality, but overall, the entire series is fun, funny, and makes you VERY hungry... The performances from the main characters are very good: they're so familiar--like family. :)
Highly recommended.

3. Same Kuitan, Nothin Surprising [Rating: 7/10]
This Kuitan was nothing different from the first one, but the story was not as strong at the end. It became a little random, and Kanada got so angry. I think this drama is fun to watch the food and the cases, but not for a perfect story.

Kuitan is always a hilarious piece to keep in mind as there is so much that does occur. Watch it if you just enjoy simplicity in your drama, and don't expect too much suspense.

4. Kuitan returns! [Rating: 9/10]
Oh I am so happy that Kuitan returned for a 2nd series. I just loved the original series and this picks up nicely. I can't really give it a 10 but a strong 9 for sure. Very funny and entertaining. I could not wait to see the next episode and if I could have seen them all in one day I probably would have. It is very gratifying to see the whole main cast back together as well including my beloved momochan. =D

5. A 2nd helping [Rating: 9/10]
Just as good as the first season and in some ways a little better as we can see additional sides of some characters. The first episode was a bit slow to me and I had doubted I would enjoy the series as much as I did but luckily I stuck with it and it just kept getting better.

Turned out to be a TV diner compared to the banquet the first season was. The stories and cases wren`t as interesting as the craze was last year but, the character development however did make up for that gap!

And who can complain, hot guys, kindaichi, mysteries, food and one hell of a good cast of actors!

This sequel made me care even more about the wonderful characters and it was especially hard for me to say goodbye when the show came to an end. Higashiyama Noriyuki did a fabulous job as Kuitan.
3. Comments by K.T.Tran [Rating: 7/10]
only made it through 9 eps.

It was too repetitive for me. the 2nd one wasn't as good as the first....plus the solving the crimes wasn't as interesting as how it was shown in the first season.

hmm... I like the fact that Go looks so clean shaven in this season II of Kuitan. Looking younger than his normal on screen variety show. That's my comment for this season.

Much anticipated, somewhat disappointed. Nothing to write about for ep1. Don't expect it will be better than Kuitan 1. A much heavier dose of melodrama than season 1. PASS.

I think the 1st one was ok, but not sequel material. Surprisingly, it turned out better than the 1st one, IMHO.
If you love food and aren't on a diet, check it out.

More of the same from the Kuitan and the rest of the gang from Holmes Agency - which is a good thing. I actually enjoyed this even more than the first series.

Same Kuitan, just more food. Food is delicious, but the storyline wasn't any different. As well, the ending didn't impact me like the first season's did...
