1. A Love story?!?!?!?!?! [Rating: 2/10]
This dorama is the first one i stopped watching ( after the third episode, because i thought twice "give it a chance").
I do not consinder the story between mika and hiro as a love story, because it does not develope to a love story, it is just there. There is nothing they went through together. The love story seems very forced without giving it time.
And then what happens in the second episode, is no real sign of love, i mean they were just imprudent and that's it.
The whole story seems to be too arranged in order to convince the viewer of their love.
Aditionally i think the characters are too naive when they talk and think about love, they are not at least rational in some way, very disappointing.
I guess i am giving the two points, because i stopped watching after the third episode ( instead of stopping after the first one).... i dont know....
(And please do not compare this dorama to "one litre of tears".)

2. Cliche-o-rama [Rating: 3/10]
I am so thankful this drama was only six episodes long; I don't think I could have watched anything more. Truly, this is nothing more than a string of the standard tragic teenage romance cliches.
Comparing it to 1 Liter of Tears is an atrocious insult to 1 Liter of Tears.
If you want to relate it to another drama, I would say it is "Crying Out Love, In the Center of the World"'s mentally challenged cousin.
The author has claimed this is a true story but I doubt it. Most of the details in the drama make no sense, so it's hard to believe they actually happened.

The story starts with an immature teenage girl meeting a violent, creepy teenage boy and because the script says so, she falls in love with him. And that's the main problem with the story; there's no real motivation for anything that happens and the relationships are too artificial to care about.

3. save yourself time and watch the movie [Rating: 5/10]
I think my tittle pretty much wraps it up. I've watched the movie first, and honestly i loved it. I cried and cried and really loved it. The movie was able to give you a full story with all the emotion in 2 hours, whereas the drama simply stretched it into 6 episodes. I dont think that was necessary. Sure it filled in some blanks, but i could have lived without it. The movie has more mystery whereas the drama keeps no secret. You know everything that is going on. I found that Hiro was a stronger character in the movie, whereas the drama Hiro is short tempered and violent. I just dont see how i nice quiet girl could fall for him. In any case, I would definately recomend to skip the drama and go for the movie.

4. Unbelievably boring. [Rating: 2/10]
I felt absolutely nothing while watching this drama, everything was too unrealistic. I'm not talking about the fact that they fell in love, spent the night together, almost had a baby and then broke up because of a illness, the problem is that all of that happened in less than a week! I mean, they had never talked before and were already in love, then they kissed once and jumped into bed, c'mon!
They tried to create a touching drama with that old formula: boy + girl + love + terminal illness + death = tears. Well, that didn't happen.
It's a pity. It could have turned out to be a good drama had they created more believable characters and plots. Did anyone actually buy those two were in love?

5. Its ok [spoilers] [Rating: 5/10]
The movie is a lot better since its not soo long unlike the drama.
Now, i have to appreciate the drama in someway also, cause they fill stuff that in the movie left you in the air. For example, how he finds out about his disease.
Give it a chance, you might actually like it.
Like someone said before they kinda portrayed Hiro more violent when in the movie he was never shown that way or even forceful.

6. so good!!! [Rating: 9/10]
i didn't expect this drama to be so good.
the first episode was entertaining, but i wasn't sure where this drama was going.
but after the third episode, i knew that it was going to be sad but a very touching story.
i highly recommend this!!!

7. Short nice drama [Rating: 9/10]
I remember watching this one! It was a nice high school romance type drama. Too bad can't give spoiler. It is a quick watch with only 6 or 8 epi's something like that. It's been a long time since I watched it.

This is one of those heart-rending tales on one's first love. It's rather on par with 1 Litre of Tears, but the roles are switched. It's sad and the characters are pretty well-done. All in all, it was enjoyable and I constantly felt the need to finish it, even though I knew what was going to happen. There's also a movie version, but I haven't seen it quite yet - but then again, the drama goes slower so you get more involved with the plot than just an hour and a half movie. It is rather cute though so if you're in the mood for a tale of romance and heartache, this is for you! The kicker is that it's based on a true story!

So~so.. the main problem for me was the fact that the plot was full of cliches. The casting was OK not bad actors (and its always good to see new faces) but the actors weren't thaaat good (the boy is kind of ugly... and the girl is not that cute). the music is the only thing i really enjoyed in this dorama.
NaH... maybe those romatic/drama thing is not working anymore on me... or maybe they could try something a lil different next time. Not a bad dorama tough just nothing memorable.

My main problem with koizora is that I watched the movie first and the movie was much better. There are some major changes in the order in which information is revealed and perversely these changes are what sort of ruin it, and yet are the best reason to watch if you have already seen the movie. Also both of these main actors are poor imitations of their movie counterparts. Still I did like it, just watch the movie first.

I'm very happy that this drama only was 6 episodes. If you want to watch both the drama and the movie i suggest you watch the drama first. The movie is SO much better. Sure, this drama had it's moments, and its not exactly the same as the movie (same story different scenes) but sometimes it was copied right off! And the actress who playes mika was SO annoying, therefore watch the movie instead!

i watch the movie first so when i decide to watch the drama too i'm getting excited cause the movie is so good.. the cast is so good.. so far i like the drama version too cause seto kouji is so serious and overprotective here than in movie!!

A friend told me to watch this and compared it to A Walk to Remember. I can kind of see where she got that idea from. There wasn't that much depth to the characters but nevertheless I cried like a baby during some scenes.

Selecting 2 new faces for the main leads is refreshing. However I have watched the movie version and still felt that this drama will be better having the original casting. Overall not a bad drama.

only watched a couple of episodes and have totally given up since i dislike any type of seriously cheesy high school love dramas, and the characters are too "young" for my taste...sorry :(

what a waste of time - I can't remember the last time I hated a drama this passionately. It's not the actors or the directing - no it's the overall storyline - it just makes me mad.

At first I didn't feel a great connection with the characters, but they grew on me. The themesong fits the drama perfectly. The last episode was so touching, I sobbed :'c.

cliche. ep1 she falls in love. ep2 she gets pregnant. ep3 she miscarriages. ep4 he gets cancer. ep5 they break up. ep 6 he dies and love is eternal. HUH?

To be true, i like this dorama more than the movie. The story line more realistic, the cast are wonderful too (tough i prefer Miura haruma as Hiro).

It was a very tear-full drama for me.... if there would be prize for the most spent namida because of the drama, i think i would vote on this drama

I prefer the movie version of Koizora. The reason is that I prefer Haruma Miura and Yui Aragaki more than Koji Seto and Elena Mizusawa.
