In the fictional town of Mahoro on the outskirts of Tokyo, is Tada Benriken, a small business which does odd jobs. Its owner is the solemn and level-headed Tada Keisuke, and his unexpected guest, the easygoing but vague Gyoten Haruhiko, is a former junior high school classmate who showed up one day and started to sponge on him. The two of them get on like oil and water, and yet are somehow inseparable. They receive queer, dubious incoming odd job requests which they accept, and what comes into view are the friendship between them as well as the backgrounds of their clients. | |

| 1. | Funny and laid back [Rating: 9/10] This drama was a true joy to watch! Hilarious, weird, laid back, charming and at times emotional, this one has become one of my favorite dramas of all time!
Set in the fictional town of Mahoro, Tada(Eita) and Gyoten(Ryuhei Matsuda) work as "handy men" taking different odd jobs from all sorts of clients. This leads to all kinds of situations, each more absurd than the other.
Everything about this show was perfect! Nice soundtrack, great chemistry between the main characters and just the right amount of quirkiness! Each episode is about 25 minutes long which I thought was great. It doesn't make the story overcomplicated, rather it makes you relax and enjoy each episode though it sometimes makes you wanting for more. Incidentally, this is probably the first time I've watched a drama from opening to ending for each episode!
I'd recommend those who haven't seen the movie "Mahoro ekimae tada benriken" to watch it first since it explains alot about their backgrounds which makes the show so much more enjoyable to watch and easier/quicker to get into. | Reviewed by Kuraiyo on 3 April 2013 | 2. | Superb!!! | 1. | Comments by sasukekun6 [Rating: 10/10] I love everything about this series. The cinematography is fantastic, the music is great and of course, the cast and acting is incredible. The chemistry between Eita and Matsuda Ryuhei is ridiculously good and I really hope I can see them work together again. I think Tada is one of Eita's best roles and I really enjoyed seeing Matsuda for the first time in such a hilarious role. I think he was what made the show 100% perfect. | 2. | Comments by EstherM [Rating: 9/10] This is a niche drama about 2 oddballs running an oddball business, meeting a bunch of oddball clients! Great stuff but certainly not to most people's tastes. There's a movie too, and season 2 and movie 2 :) | 3. | Comments by gaijinmark [Rating: 8/10] Eita and Matsuda working together, Matsuda great as a slacker/stoner. Sometimes funny, sometimes touching, sometimes downright weird. | 4. | Comments by DoramaOnna [Rating: 7/10] Seven out of ten. | 5. | Comments by Spider [Rating: 9/10] Very very good! | 6. | Comments by InstallGentoo [Rating: ?/10] FFFFF | 7. | Comments by xaxa [Rating: 9/10]
