Nice one there!!!Hmmm it kind of makes Cao Meng De look like a tyrant who use the emperor as a puppet...although that's the truth. But why did Cao Cao took his guards to seize the emperor he installed?I kind of got confused...

Who is the best diplomat in your eyes for this dynasty?I personally favour Man Chong of Cao Cao's camp.He had such a glib tongue, very clever at "boot-licking" and best of all....the recepients of his word love what he said!!!So yeah...he's the best to me.

Agreed. here is from wiki
Man Chong (ŸÞ’ž) (? – 242), courtesy name Boning (”Œ”J), was an officer of Cao Cao and later of the Kingdom of Wei.

Originally a scholar from Shanyang, he became a strategist for Cao Cao, recruiting Xu Huang to the Wei cause. He became governor of Ru'nan, and helped Cao Ren defend Fancheng (present day a district of Xiangfan, Hubei) against Guan Yu in 219. In 228, Man Chong assisted the army of Jia Kui in an unsuccessful invasion of the Wu Kingdom. During the Wu invasion of 234, Man Chong accompanied the army of Cao Rui to repel the enemy at Hefei, and devised a night attack that scattered the Wu forces under Lu Xun.

He actually did some major task. What a great man

@ ThyGriever : once again you made me laugh alot..

Are you referring to the comic? That guy is Dong Zhou. I think he put in a new emperor and then got rid of him again because historically, Dong ZHou (and others), pulled people out they didnt like as they pleased. And I guess you might not like the ones you put in yourself later down the road.

I'm not sure who my favorite Diplomat is. Zhuge Liang maybe? =)

yep yep. DW for DS is coming out soon as well! Koei is crazy about spin-offs cause i think DW has the most spin-offs for any existing game series.

In orochi, it says you can select 3 characters. 2 can be your bodyguards and i think you can switch between using all them?

Well...just Yukimura Sanada,Musashi Miyamoto and Lu Bu is enough to tear down any trio anyone can offer!!!They are the best that the game offered!Anyway let's not venture too far out of San Guo...I have a gut feeling that a moderator is just waiting for enough off-topic posts to lock this thread up.

Ok...thanks for the clarification.Always mix up Cao Cao and Dong Zhuo about this puppet emperor issue.

ZHuge Kongming is also a brilliant diplomat although his best asset is still about military tactics. But what freaks people out is his tactfulness.Winning a bunch a Wu generals with just plain talking!!!Now that's freaky!!!

well, in history, many generals and leaders had bodyguards to uhh... guard them... from enemies...

Like in history, Zhou Tai saved Sun Quan 2 or 3 times from death (were talking the end of Wu) and was very close to Sun Quan ie. bodyguard. It was thought that Sun Quan said that he trusted Zhou Tai more than any of his generals and always wanted him near when he was in battle. And Zhou Tai had numerous permanent scars to prove his loyalty. Now that's a warrior you can't buy for service. I think he'd never even think of betraying Wu. Wow, we're back on topic!

galahad:
Zhuge Liang was brilliant in many ways (but i still hate some of his persnality). Many argue that he was not a good military strategist but was better at city development. Where he could win the hearts of people. But one thing is certain and that is that Zhuge was a good speaker. He's a very accomplished scholar.

Dong Zhuo is no lousy fighter. He's of course not in the league of extraordinary warriors like Lu Bu and Guan Yu but he's not in the mediocre class of generals like Chun Yuqiong and Mi Fang.On a scale of 100...most game offer him 90,which can be believed.Just see him during the Yellow Turbans Rebellion. He dared to charge together with his troops even though he's a commander!!!That showed hid bravery in combat...

Speaking of Dong Zhuo...how did he found Red Hare?I don't believe he had that much luck to just wonder around and suddenly spotted it.But there's no other explanation.

Thats when fortuna is in his side
Well I think he has trained eye, for being a greedy person. He will know which things would turn out better than the other by just looking.

Hmmm...far-sightedness?!?He's no match for Liu Bei in that case...

He's greedy because he's ambitious.Cao Cao also was greedy for wealth and power when he got his first trop in Chen Liu.Every victory he gotjust fuels his ambition, and soon he demands for virtually anything.Human nature. No one to blame.

Redhare is actually a giant red-painted bunny rabit he found. Rarity in only that someone spilled redpaint on it and ran away

Dong Zhou is a good fighter but i hate him because of his tyranny, not because of his abilities.

I must disagree with Dong Zhou and Cao Cao's actions being human nature. Humans are naturally greedy but some have boundaries and morals which both did not. Dong Zhou was greedy and totally mistreated the emperor, killed villages just for women and created a tyranny. If everyone had this idea in mind then we must be sick people.

Cao Cao was a bit slicker in hiding his intentions but he tried to gain control of China which he could never have. he gave the emperor no power and only used him to show his authority. it's like controlling the president of your country when you are in no position to do so besides your military might. Totally wrong ideas goin on here.

Oh!?!That means all rabbits had more stamina than normal horses then!!! :hehe:

What Cao Cao seems to be wrong but if he had given the emperor a say then he's in the wrong.Emperor Xian was too young and too inexperienced to rule a country.Besides...the country's in war and Cao Cao just want to unite the country again...this time in his rule.I see nothing wrong...it's not as if he had sunk the country into further chaos by controlling the emperor.

Thats why the human is the most dangerous being in earth. They have desire for more power. Guns don't kill people, people kill people.

But he was named the hero of chaos ne~?? That means he saved people from chaotic situation but the method is rather bad.

Bad but well...it's better than leaving the people as it is.Suffering from famine and stuff...and few warlords are generous enough to give out enough fodd to feed the population. They need it themselves.Food is essential in war and a good source of money considering how valuable food can be at certain times.

oh yes.. you can see in three kingdom where Zhuge Liang or others char uses the plot of snatch/burn enemies food supply. The soldiers will decrease motivation and even causes a rebel. It's certain one of the key factors to win a war.
