It kinda hard when you play it alone but, if you manage to find a couple of friends and start trading it could turn out to be a good-money maker furthermore if you could join the competition and won the grand prize

I played Magic The Gathering from 1999 to 2003 (from Tempest block to Odyssey or Onslaught). It's indeed interesting. Plaing with friends or people from different places is lots of fun. But it's just too tempting to keep spending money to buy new cards, especially with all the new series that get released. :beaten:

so thats mean you've quited playing magic?? the card now become confusing though cause of the new ability(graft, suspend, etc) it kinda hard to follow it now but it makes more fun. Have you checked Planar Chaos expansion?? As the tittle 'Planar Chaos' the color ability is became chaotic for example black now have counterspell, blue now have the ability to discard and dump card to graveyard, and others..

LOL dude, i used to collect pokemon cards when they were so hot. Me and everyone else didnt know how to play at all. We just thought the cards were cool. The game is kinda complicated.

I know how to play yu-gi-oh. not that hard. Yugioh has way cool monster on their cards

And about magic, i dont know how to play. I heard it's really complicated. A magic enthusiast told me that the only way you can learn how to play is by someone else who knows how to play, because he said the guides are "out of print" and the things online dont help?

Pokemon is way easier than magic, yes basically magic is a complicated game, but that whats makes it interesting, for Yu-Gi-Oh if you have the strongest monster ever you most likely gonna win right? But not in magic the most rare and expensive card could be taken down by mere common card, so there is now ultimate deck what-so-ever in magic there's always a way to beat it. Plus there are tons of style in magic such as you could win by mere sorcery(spell) not bringing aby creature(monster) at all, tou could make your opponent furious by canceling all his spell or you could deplete your opponent deck amnd many others. For me I learn from my cousin then I start reading the guidebook then start competing in local tournament, it takes time to find your rythm and style :victory:

:hehe: PokeMon is da best !!!

the only thing i don't like about it now is that the new pokemons are a bit complicated. not like the first ones... they look semi-mecha

pikachu! :hehe:

i don't like yu-gi-oh and i dont wana know how to play it...
yeah... if you have the strongest creature you can beat anything
the explanation for each creature in yu-gi-oh are so crappy and full of exaggeration. but pokemon's more to the characteristics

I play that game too, its quite fun but not as fun as the real one (advantageous point when playing the game at gameboy is no cost for money to buy new card)

Same here! It was too expensive! I knew some people that stole cards from Fredmeyers and they got caught twice with a backpack FULL of yugioh cards. Crime doesn't pay :hehe:

I think yugioh is more than just strong monsters. You can utilize traps and magic cards to your advantage + Monsters have specific effects + The strongest monsters need other monsters for "sacrificing" before you can use them. So it's not as simple as te higher number wins =)

About magic...there's a banned card called Dark Loctus or Black Loctus. It provide the caster with three magic of any colour for one battle phrase. But it's value is way way higher than other mana sources cards like Dark Ritual, which gives you 3 dark mana at the price of one.So why the shocking difference in price? And why the ban? It's not as if one card can give a person a big advantage...

of course it gave the person a big advantage !! :beatyou:
It's called Black Lotus, Artifact, a rare card from alpha edition.
0 casting cost, tap, sacrifice, add three mana of any color to your mana pool. it's worth a thousand bucks if i not wrong :headscratch: because it's out-of-print.
Dark Ritual is only a common card where i can get it for 10cent ? or free :hehe:
if you look carefully, black lotus is 0 casting which give you 3 any color mana, while dark ritual give you 3 same kind of mana but need 1 mana to cast... now, you can obviously see which one is better.....

yeah.. basically the combination of magic/traps and monsters...
you can summon 1 - 4 stars monster at first, den 5 - 6 stars you have to sacrifice 1 monster, and 7 - 9 stars sacrificing 2 monsters(this one i'm not sure :headscratch: ), of course the cards of GoDs in the anime, sacrificing 3 monsters....... well, there's also fusion or rituals cards if you wan to summon higher lvl monsters faster... or using special summon can help too

Its called black lotus artifact 0 cost and when you sacrifice it gain 3 mana of any color. Thats a big advantage, with this you could cast your three mana cost monster in the first turn, there's a deadly combo which when the condition all meets you could whin the game at first turn and it use black lotus and other deadly card.

For dark ritual you could do some serious combo with this for example. turn one put a lswamp land and cast a dark ritual you gain 3 black mana, cast diabolict/ demonic tutor tutor(I forgot which one)for 1 black mana to take 1 of any card in your deck then put it into your graveyard( for example take Akroma and put it into your grave yard) then cast exhume for 2 black mana "each player choose a creature in his/her graveyard then put it into play" then put your Akroma into play in turn one. You have 6/6, Flying, first strike, vigilance, trample, haste, protection from black, protection from red angel and your enemy got nothing.. :victory: :victory:
