I have to say.. even as a straight guy, I though the apron when he was cooking for Nodame was really cute. I'm totally that guy - I would make someone dinner just because I know they'd be happier. I love to cook!

Hey now! I would host dinner parties every weekend back in CA.. I'm not just a water boiler! I can make eggs too... as long as you supply the boiling water ;-)

Wow, you're a regular Jacques Pepin. :beaten: :hehe:

Hehe.. I'm just an enthusiast. I love good sharp knives and the satisfaction which perfectly jullienned vegetables bring. I dream of having a fully outfitted kitchen more than any other part of my home :)

But my cooking style is not very french - I'm a purist: simple clear tastes contrasting one another. I try to keep it to less than 6 or 7 ingredients in any dish (and that many is rare) and rarely more than 1 or 2 spices or herbs. Low fat, high flavor.. some of my guests find it a little subtle compared to most american cooking - I use very little salt, for example, so a conditioned palate is part of the process.

Wow!! Thank you for the pictures!! I saw his dog for the first time!! His dog's name is Pegu. Lucky Pegu!! I wish he had a cat too because I love cats...

Be my husband! I'm not good at cooking. :hehe:
If you cooked for me, I'd play some piano pieces in return. :hehe:

Tamaki-kun with a fund-raising campaign signboard which says Tamaki Hiroshi as Yamanouchi Yasutoyo in Koumyou ga tsuji .
